Let me preface this with the following: I HATE REHAB!!!

A few months ago, I was t-boned and left upside down after several flips in my car. Thankfully nothing was broken, but the shock actually split nerves, leading to temporary paralysis on my left side. Well, a about a month later, as feeling is returning in my left arm and leg, I trip during rehab and dislocated my shoulder. Even more pain, and more rehab. I was cleared about a week ago, only to discover TODAY that I need another surgery on my left knee. They did a partial replacement, paid for my the US Navy, and now they need to replace the replacement due to a recall.... poor Annaleigh. I know. And, the next part? Another month or two in that dreaded rehab program. Oh well. At the end of it, my wife will finally be here full time.

"Into each life some rain must fall". And it seems you got caught in a flood. From your address and comment, I presume you're still Active Duty; the Navy has a great medical staff, at least.

For what it's worth, everybody hates rehab. My wife is on her 3rd round, following open-heart surgery with complications - and she is always telling me how much she hates it. But it's a necessary evil, so hang in there. Someday, it will all be a fading memory.

Hugs,
Bettylou (USAF, Ret.)

No, medically retired. After only 2 years... too many concussions and no cartilage.

Oh honey, that barely begins to describe it. I feel like I've been through the wringer, smacked by an H-53 rotor blade, run through the meat locker, and, crass as it may sound, hit the water with the rest of the crew and passengers of the Titanic, those who didn't make the boats.

Hi Annaleigh I thought I had it bad when they cut off half of one lung and pulled through my ribs to remove it from my body. You will recover love. have patience and do what they ask you to do.

Hi Annaleigh,

Good luck on your recovery.  Bettylou is right, no one enjoys rehab.
