Hola senioritas, after having a great Christmas, today was a sad day. A busted pipe in the basement caused a flood in the wig vault. Was able to remove most of the wigs but the wigs and shelves close to the ground were ruined. Very sad, built the wig vault with bare hands. Just to give you an visual of “Margarita’s Wig Vault: light pink walls with white crown molding, white shelves lined the walls, the long wigs sat on the top shelves, mid-length wigs on the middle shelves, and short wigs on the bottom shelves, in the middle of the wig vault is a Hollywood vanity mirror with lights, a Vintage salon styling chair, a full-length mirror ( wanted lights around it but couldn’t find any), and the cutest little pink step ladder from Amazon (for reaching the wigs on top). All of the wigs are named after female celebrities: there’s the Cher wigs (black, straight, very long), Madonna wigs ( blonde, mid-length, various styles), J.Lo wigs (blondish, long), Sofia wigs (brown, long, big curls), as well as, vintage Hollywood celebrities: Marilyn Monroe wigs, Elizabeth Taylor wigs, Sophia Loren wigs. The wigs ruined were the Liza Minnelli wigs (didn’t really like them but only wore them when with disapproving family members because they were very short and easy to conceal) but the pink and white flooring is ruined, the room temperature control baseboards are ruined. The wig vault will be repaired just like before, a few years back while out, ex-wife Sandra came into the wig vault looking for a wiglet to wear while eating an Italian hoagie, she dropped some food in the wig vault, came back found rodents had climbed on an asymmetrical wig and knocked it over and nested in it, ever since then there’s a lock on the door and no food is allowed in it. What a way to start New Years—having to repair the wig vault, anyway, Happy New Years, ladies.
Aidos,
Margarita
Sorry to hear that, I hope you fixed pipe.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Sounds like you put a lot of time and energy into constructing your wig vault.
Being a plumbing contractor with 40 years in the business, I recommendf you relocate your wig vault to a location without plumbing pipes. Also, if this is a basement, I would not have anything valuable that can be damaged down there. I have seen too many flooded basements caused by broken water pipes and worse, collapsed sewer lines. Everything is destroyed when the main sewer breaks!!
Best of Luck with repairs and who likes Liza Minelli's hair anyways!! LoL
I accidentally destroyed 2 hard drives inside my computer when attempting to clean dust out of it. I am a certified IT technician, so getting my computer back up and running with new drives was no issue.
Sorry about your water pipes though. Regardless of what was destroyed, a busted water pipe is never a good thing to deal with.
