For those of you into video games, do you always create a female avatar for your character? I realized recently that in the games I play the most (Starfield, PUBG, and Forza Horizon 5) I created a female avatar.. and the last time I made a male avatar was for Grand Theft Auto 5 almost 10 years ago. If so, do you try and make the avatar look like you, or more like what you'd want to look like?
For a couple of reasons, I can only play one genre of games - racing sims, but not on Xbox - therefore I choose non-gendered avatar images. I don't consciously pay much attention to the avatars of others, really.
Always, have done for years. I often use my femme headshot too when a game calls for a pictorial avatar (CS2 for example) and I always choose in-game characters that are women; in Cyberpunk 2077 for example, I've never played as a man. I also use my femme headshot and my feminine name on chess.com as people hate to be beaten by a woman (not that I win many games, my rating is only 850ish).
I love playing video games! I'm usually a retro gamer, but yes, I have created female avatars. I like to give my avatar a sexy model look, just like me. I "revel" in it. 😊

I didn’t always but I do now all the time. The first time I chose a girl character was because I didn’t like the boy design as much as the girl and I have never looked back. As for the look, I try to make her look similar to me with glasses and hair color
I've never been much of a video gamer, but back when I did a bit of Dungeons & Dragons at Uni in the late 80's I normally played as a female character.
I get to be a beautiful, fit, stunner in the Fallout games! I play games (and dress) to get some relief from the normal, boring reality. If I can play as the lady I'd like to see in the mirror when I get a chance to dress full-out, I jump in with like an Olympic women's swimmer. Without the cap, you have to let the hair be a statement.
A lot of the games I like to play your avatar is not seen or is designed to be gender neutral (i.e. in a space suit) but as I have grown my hair out (enough that I have to put it in a bun for work) most games don’t have male avatars with long hair so I have to use a female one. This way I can make one look kind like me, but femme without question from my SO. 😋
Almost always. Female avatars almost always have better clothing options that it is honestly ridiculous. Occasionally a few male avatars do a good job of having a good hook, but always the clothing options and customization options always strike me that women just have it better.
