Plan and simple as the question says.
What can I do legally if I am harassed for Crossdressing?
That's a complicated question, with multiple answers (and I don't know them all).
If you mean employment, most states have "at will" employment, meaning you can be fired for any reason, or no reason. Unless you have a contract. Gays, Trans folks and elderly have some Federal protectin, but CDs don't. On a personal level, it's probably not a criminal offense, but you MAY be able to get a restraining order from a local judge....hard to say. And you can sue anyone, any time, for any reason; doesn't mean you will win, and you have to pay to play.

Realistically nothing.... Harassment happens everywhere for different reasons. Unless you are physically threatened/assaulted they're just not going to pursue it. And then you would have to prove harassment. There are some labour laws in Canada to protect against such things, but once again the onus of proof is on you, or so I believe.

Unfortunately, the answer depends on where you are. Both by locale (each state, city, country, province, etc. may have different laws) as well as place (at work, in a store, in public) may have different rules.
Where I work, gender expression (which would probably include crossdressing) is protected, so I could go to HR if I crossdressed at work and was harassed. But other companies may not have such a policy.
Hi Hippie
As Bettylou says, multiple answers depending on the situation you are in....
If you are harassed in the street, you have exactly the same rights as any citizen, whatever your attire...but do you want the police involved?
If you are harassed at the work place, there's lots of circumstances to consider, mainly does your employer know you crossdress?, are they ok with it?, do friends you work with know? or have other colleagues complained?....then there's the restroom scenario...
a lot to consider.....and probably another serious decision you need to think about is, wherever you are harassed...how much further do you really want to take it???, because the outcome could be more official, and do you want to go through all that???
Just to add, if you are "out" to everyone and don't care who else knows, I would take official action, simply because harassment should not be tolerated, whoever you are...
...hippie, it's a minefield!!
and these are just my opinions!!!

I would invest in a spy camera or audio recorder. Years ago I bought one that was concealed in a very normal looking ball point pen. I used it to capture abuse from an employer. I never did anything with it but play it for family and friends. I captured proof of verbal abuse in case it escalated to physical abuse. I would consult with an attorney before doing anything.
Just to clarify, Stevie, in Canada, it's against the law to abuse or discriminate, anyone, anywhere, not just the workplace, but is it a fight you really want to take on? as everyone has said, there are a lot of variables.
Myself, I would push it, but I have nothing to lose, or care about, but my own fears, and Im pretty good at putting them aside when Im mad, or hurt
