Hello everyone.  I'm new on CDH but have been wearing girl's/women's clothing for many years now. Always in private...never, ever felt comfy enough to venture beyond my home.  I'm very much looking to learn more as I read and listen to others situations and journeys.

My first question that I have asked myself oodles of times is why do I only want things that are pink?  Virtually everything I own (panties, tights, bras, nightgowns, socks, dresses...) are pink.  Always some form of pink (not bold pink...only pastel pinks).  Even when I have floral things to wear they almost always are pink somewhere.

Over the years I had tried more bold colors; reds, yellows and even a couple of black lace goodies but never seemed to be able to move away from my desire for all things pink. It's not like I didn't like the bold colors; I just didn't love them like I love everything that's pink.

Anyway, there's my first foray into asking for other opinions (and I confess that it's been scary somewhat to even open up this much...sigh). Has anyone else ever felt this way about "pink"?

I'll say thank you in advance for anyone's perspectives, opinions, kind or brutally-honest responses.

Pamela

I can't tell you why I like black and red more than other colors.  It just is what it is.  I do wear other colors because variety helps your presentation when you're going out.  And sometimes it just feels good to wear something different.

But does it matter that you only like pink clothes?  You're staying at home.  Nobody is seeing you.  It's all good.  Change will happen organically.  When you are ready.

If you feel like experimenting, black goes well with pink.

@pamelahollister Hey Pamela, well done girl for opening up. It can be scary but there's no need for any fear here. Just support, friendship and a common love for all things feminine. As to your question, I'm not sure anyone can answer. We like what we like. I'm completely with you hun. I love pink, and I love floral dresses (take a look at my makeover pics 😂). It's great to vary things once in a while but there's usually a first love, a safe space to return to. Which is exactly what this place is.

Hugs, Chrissie xx.

@chrisfp99   I agree with Chrissy.  Pink is my favorite color and many of my under things are just that. But other shades tend to make look thinner, ( and I need that, LOL).
the important thing is wear what make you happy.  Then you will also be more self assured. Hugs

Even as a little kid I liked Pink.

I have a variety of girly clothes in many colors.

I'm totally convinced that the Pink Fog is responsible for this content!  🥰

@pamelahollister  flat pink or hot pink ?  nothing like a set of hot pink stilettos.  omg.  lol.  Probably a reason is called hot pink and there is no hot red or hot yellow.  because its a special color. As a guy my favorite colors are green and blaze orange. but as a girl def hot pink.  Flirty Kiss   Cheers RC

What is the (my) "obsession" with all things pink?

There is a lot of psychology related the emotions behind pink.

They are associated with calmness, love, feminity, as a short list. Police, for example, have been known to use pink rooms to calm down excited detainees. You may have your own history that relates to pink and the way that you feel.

In my drab past, I noticed that I had bought quite a few shirts with pink designs, solid colours, patterns or stripes. Apparently, I like pink, too.

I am now on a city bus going for a few hours of me time. I waited for the delivery of a package with two light fall sweaters, one dark red, the other a pink gradient. It is too warm for the light jacket that I have on, but that is the price that I have to pay sometimes, to cover my chest bumps.

However, the thing that I really wanted to point out is that near me is another male wearing a casual pink drab shirt. If he isn't concerned about wearing pink, why should we?

@pamelahollister I like bold colours. Whether in drab or en femme I tend to wear bright clothes. My favourites are purple, green and red.

@pamelahollister Hey Pamela, colors really do affect one's look and probably outlook as well.

My favored colors have certainly evolved over the years. I'm totally prone to grab you by the throat, bright stand out colors now.

Give me Candy Apple, Scarlet, Fluorescent Reds. HOTTTT Pink, no dainty shades, Turquoise or Lapis Lazuli blues. Royal Purple (Prince Purple Rain Purple!). Black is very welcome as well. White is just OK. I know these colors can make blending in hard to accomplish, but that's the current likes.

@pamelahollister I have the same love for pink and the first panties I ever tried on were my best friend moms satin pink full back panties and I loved that they fit me perfectly and she wore XL panties and were large enough to keep my cock inside them. I didn’t even think twice and I was in her bathroom and put my underwear over the panties and walked out of her bathroom and sat with her and loved that I had her panties on. I went home and wore them to bed and took them back the next day and put them back in her hamper. That’s when I went to her bathroom and looked in her hamper everyday and all her panties were full back satin and I saw a pair of hot pink ones and put them on and wore them home and to bed and took them back the next day. I wore every panty I saw and she had so many colors and loved that she had leopard print. But it was the pink that I liked best because they were so feminine and I knew men didn’t wear satin panties especially pink ones!

@pamelahollister Most people have a favorite color.  Yours is pink!  It's just a matter of personal preference.   Maybe the fact that this color is most often associated with femininity is a factor for you but it's no matter....you just like it.   I'm with you by the way...I love pink.   Even when wearing other colors, I still like to bring some pink in for a color pop.  As an example, I love wearing pink pumps with my LBD.

I have a strong allegiance to pink as well.  I'm a girl.  I like pink.  But a close second for color is white.  My white panties, all that satin with lace trim, they're my favorites.  My favorite bra was a Fantasie in white.  White satin lower cups & sheer white floral lace on top.  My pinks and my whites.  They are so feminine and they make me feel good that I'm a woman.

@pamelahollister Hmm, you know I've never really thought if there was just one singular color that I preferred. I mean, possibly I should just hunker down and pick one, but gosh - so many to choose from. Just one that would really make me stand out would be great.

(sigh) Sadly, I guess we'll never know. :/

Pink such fun too wear, very "feminine" in a traditional sense.

I have pink panties that I wear with my pink slip, bra, heels and dress.

Very special to be pretty in pink...

Pink is the most feminine of colors. Guaranteed to make you feel very "unmasculine".

I never really thought about why I liked pink.  The first dress I bought was pink.  I do believe that I like the color because as Fiona said, there’s nothing more feminine than pink.  It seems that recently I’ve been on a pink buying binge.  But before that it was red, so who knows?  It’s so much fun to be dressed as a girl with no limitations on what you can wear or whatever color you want too.

I have some pink T shirts, pink underwear and some pairs of pink socks, before I started cross-dressing I had no pink items at all; I suppose it's a feminine colour and so I took it on as part of the whole thing.

Quite possibly my favorite show nowadays is called The Repair Shop, where people take their prized possessions to be fixed. It always leaves me with a good feeling after watching it. Anyway, there's these two women on the show who fix dolls and teddy bears, and one of them is always decked out in pink, including having pink hair. Obviously she has a thing for pink too, so you're not alone. Some people will have an attraction to a certain color because it speaks to them.

Interestingly, I was talking to some graphic designers at work and pink came up and they were remarking that pink used to be considered a masculine color, while something like baby blue was considered a feminine color. Nowadays it's the reverse, but I don't care about what's masculine or feminine anymore. If I like it, I'm going to wear it. On the opposite end, I have a male friend who has been exploring his feminine side and remarked how he wished he could wear pink! Maybe he'll get past this. Or maybe there's something with the word "pink". I've never liked that hard K.

Hi Pam!

Pink.....such a powerful 4 letter word.....

I think you are currently a pink enthusiast. Which is a wonderful thing to be.

It could be something from you childhood that you don't even remember that gives you a good feeling. I say roll with it as long as it feels good. Perhaps one day your preferences will change. Perhaps not. Who is to say really? Just enjoy.

But while we are on the subject of pink, I have a story.

In grammer school, maybe 1st or 2nd grade... one of the kids was asking everyone what their favorite color was. Just before he got to me, he asked the girl next to me. She said "pink". At that moment I was thinking "that's my favorite color too" but before I could say that, the boy said to the girl "of course you do, that's because you're a girl"

The he asked me what my favorite color was. I said "green"

I said green for 50ish years.

About 2 years ago my son asked me what my favorite color was. I said "pink".

My wife heard this and said "I thought your favorite color was green"

I said "I lied" and explained that i never admitted pink was my favorite color as a child because of the potential for fear of backlash for not naming a boy color. Not in the house I grew up in, not in that neighborhood, not at that time.

Enjoy pink!

Hugs,

Autumn

P.S. - Favorites in order are Floral prints, other prints, pink, anything lace, black, red, white, green, blue, shades of nude, yellow, but not fond of grey/gray nor solid orange.

I have always preferred black clothes... I think it's my lusting for (but never actually getting off with any) 80s Goth girls! Whilst I dabbled in colours - such as a purple satin or smart white cotton blouse and even grey pencil skirts - I never went pink.

However, since I left the closet, I was encouraged to explore different colours and now have a growing collection of pink clothing and shoes. Bizarrely, all things considered, I think I once thought pink clothing was a bit 'sissy' and I was a strong, 'rock chick' or something. Now though, that 'Pink Fog' has definitely got me!

I have all sorts of colours in my female wardrobe and I've happily worn pinks, purples, greens, also bright reds, oranges and yellows.  But all my first lingerie and nightwear before I even started to buy daytime clothes, was in a lovely twilight blue.  I've always liked blue because it's such a calm, peaceful colour.

Nothing screams female, girly, ladylike, womanly, name your own adjective here, like the color pink. Pink is Barbie. Pink is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pink is a standout lipstick color. Pink is cute panties. You see anything pink, it’s girly. Love it!!!🥰

Can't tell you why you love pink. I can only say that I do also. Not to the exclusion of all others, but pink is one of my favorites. Ever since I was little I preferred colors in that family. I had model cars and painted them lavender. I loved to wear purple in all it's shades and when I began buying my own clothing that family took control.

My closet glows with pink in many shades and purples as well. Sometimes I struggle to add others to the mix, although my wife does say I look pretty in orange as well.
