Hi everybody!

Since I joined CDH I've been dressing more than ever in my life (but still hiding in the closet), and I've picked up a few pointers here. For example, I acquired silicone breasts recently, and the first thing I learned is don't get too enthusiastic and order the biggest ones you can find! That's what I did, and now for financial reasons I'm gong to have to live with them for a while. After two weeks of looking at all your beautiful photos and observing large-breasted GGs in the real world (it's a tough job, but someone has to do it :)), I learned that I was trying to wear mine too high. So I loosened the straps on my bra and voila! Not only are they more comfortable now, but hanging a little lower they look much more natural! I have to say, though, that I don't envy women who must carry this kind of weight on their chests 24/7.

Something else I learned from CDH is that at my age I can't dress like the sexy little vixen I wish I were. I'm hoping to step out in public soon, and I realized that "clubwear" worn on the street will probably get me stalked or arrested, not to mention that -- sadly -- those days are past for me. So I've been looking for slightly more "age-appropriate" clothes. Not frumpy, mind you. Unmistakably feminine but not flaunting  a look that I don't really have, if you get my meaning. So as much as I love microskirts and 6-inch heels, I'm looking into a more demure, passable look. Knee-length skirts or jeans, and I even have a new pair of flats!

Any other gurlz finding ways to deal with a new reality?

Luvs to all!!

Bobbi - I've noticed that "straight" shoe stores do carry some large sizes, but to put it charitably they are not the cutest shoes: One-inch blocky heels, hideous sandals, etc. The more "exotic" show stores carry a lot of large sizes, and you're right: stripper shoes! I think that's because there is a "pervert" stigma attached to crossdressing, so a store that caters to us "perverts" would naturally stock shoes for strippers and hookers.

(Please don't anyone get me wrong. The "stigma" is in the dirty minds of the straight public. I don't for a moment think it's real.)

Tammi - Welcome, and thanks for your reply. My new heroine is 80-year-old Jane Fonda. I won't say exactly how old I am, but it's less than 80, and I hope to look half as good as Jane! 🙂

hi Lori

thanks for sharing. as an "older" closet dresser I agree, we want to look like the sexy younger ladies we see but have to be more optimistic and go towards our age and body type in life.

Hi Lori,

Great post!  I have to admit, I'd love to be a bit more "racy" at times in my dress but have to play it safe.  I started going out, exclusively wearing womens jeans.  They are sexier and much more form fitting, and obviously not mens jeans.  I also wear womens shoes or boots, and of course panties.

It's obvious, but not obvious if you know what I mean.   A great way to get comfortable going out, and feeling good.

Good Luck!

Thanks Rebekka! I've been leaning toward jeans myself. Sexy with heels, but not overt. Then I discovered "jeggings," skin-tight leggings that look just like jeans, but painted on! Not obscene, but kind of naughty!

Oh yes!  Jeggings are great!  I have a couple of pair, sometimes difficult to wear (SO does not like this), and sometimes I have a problem "hiding" things.  🙂

I am getting close to buying a pair of black pumps to wear out.  Not sure how to pull that off, but may try soon.  Also looking for some knee high boots to buy, wear.

Stay in touch!

Ooh, Bobbi! Tell it, gurl!

If an online store wants any more than payment and shipping information from me, I just make things up.

Hi Lori  and welcome!  Your forms error is funny...don't we all start like that? Yes....we have to be realistic and dress/act our age unless we look younger than we really are. Look at your neighbourhood girls, how they dress and act. Imitate them and you should "pass" un-noticed for being different.

Chose your shoes and dress and hair and boobs appropriately....I am not saying go around looking grand-motherish. We girls are always available to assist you as much as we can. Look forward to hearing more about you sweetie....tilll then,,,

When I bought my breast forms I didn't know whether to get B, C or D forms so I got all 3. I wear C most of the time.

When I was in my teens and early twenties everything I wore was super sexy. If it wasn't slutty or too extreme to wear out that's what I wore. Everything else was boring and old lady clothes. Now that I am that old lady, I still don't dress my age but noting like my younger days.

My dresses sometimes are a bit too short, my heels a bit too high and I always wear pantyhose. I still turn heads, get cat called and have guys yelling how they want to meet me. I guess from a far off enough distance I must look OK.
