What to do?! An Opportunity

Hi Ladies,

Had a pretty good day shopping around with the SO, and in hybrid mode albeit a little toned down.  Was wearing my black booties and black knee high stockings.

For the holidays I've been invited to a holiday gathering that has a theme.  The theme occurs in the late 1800's, when men wore knickers (short pants) and knee high boots among other things, although there is no requirement to come dressed.  That said while SO was looking at shoes I happened to look at boots in the womens section.  There in the perfect size was a pair of riding boots, knee high and in the perfect color.  My SO was down the isle (we had talked about finding a costume for me to wear), and I held up the boot for her to see.  She responded saying they did not look too bad.  While she was not looking I could not help myself.  I took off one of my booties and slipped on the boot.  Perfect fit!  It felt so good!  I walked up and down the isle, getting a few stares but nothing out of sorts.  One woman close by who saw me change noticed I was wearing hose, but again didn't seem to react one way or the other.

I changed back and by then my SO came down the isle I was in.  She asked, "did it fit?" I was a bit shocked but answered yes, it did.  She looked at them again and said, "well if you think you will wear them again, and don't make you look too feminine...."  (Big Grin!)

I just said I would think about it.  When checking out I asked what she thought, should I go get them?  It's kind of late now she said, but you could come back tomorrow and get them.

So tomorrow I'll be getting my first pair of knee high boots!  Can't wait!  I've been wanting some forever!  They don't have a high heel, have a flatter heel, but I'm not concerned about that!

Now I'm just a bit anxious about what the others at the gathering will say.  I'll have a complete outfit, wearing a shirt and vest and coat of some sort.  But it should be fun!
