Wow Roberta, I think it’s great that you have had so many names over the years. I love your dream about turning into a little girl named Barbara. I recall wanting to be a girl since childhood but I don’t remember ever picking out a name until 4 years ago when I chose AnnaBeth.

Aww thank you Holly, I love that you girls have had so many different names. I only remember one, AnnaBeth and I only picked it about 4 years ago. Before that I guess I was a nameless girl.

Thank you so much AnnaBeth sweetie.Yes,that childhood dream of me being a girl called Barbara is very dear to me.It is so sweet. Not like the crossdressing dreams that I have had in adulthood. In one such dream,I told all my female work colleagues at my former workplace that I was a crossdresser. We all went out to celebrate at a restaurant.I thought I looked gorgeous in my lovely dress but when I looked at myself in the mirror of the ladies restroom,my makeup had ran and I looke ghastly.Love the name Annabeth.Very feminine!!

I understand your adult dream too. I can use a lot of smoke and mirrors and make myself look so pretty. But then I look in the mirror and see the old man in a dress.

The name "Vanessa" was suggested to me by a random stranger online, oddly enough.  I asked on another site what people thought would be a good girl-name for me when I was first starting out crossdressing in July or early August of 2019, and that was one of several suggestions I got.  My girlfriend at the time (who was, and still is even after the breakup, supportive of me crossdressing) asked about what name I'd want to go by in girl-mode and I told her about how I hadn't decided yet but I'd been asking around for suggestions, so I mentioned a few of them to her.

I can't remember what the first suggestion I brought up was anymore, but the second was Vanessa, and her face just lit up when she heard it and she was immediately like "that's it, that's the one."  Shortly after she donated a little baggie of various makeup and related things, including a tiny little handwritten card from her addressed to Vanessa.

In addition to her reaction to that name being so immediately positive, I had already liked Vanessa more than... whatever the other suggestions had been, and more than several names that I had bouncing around as possibilities in my head.  So I decided to go ahead and start calling myself Vanessa whenever I dressed up from that point on.

Coincidentally, I went to a pizza restaurant and out front was an old car that had seen better days. It had a licenceplate with the short name of restaurant, plus the number 8. I did not recognise the car and took a closer look. Suicide door handles, right-hand drive, a classic British look from a long time ago. The hood ornament was a stylish A and on the back bumper was the word Princess. It was an Austin Princess limousine.

Of the few Fionas who come to mind, I will never forget Fiona Richmond, a British porn star from decades ago, who worked for Club magazine. She was attractive, slim, sort of raunchy, in the Xaviera Hollander mould. I was too young in those days to really appreciate either of them.

Fiona is a beautiful Scottish / Gaelic name created in the 19th century by the author William Sharp.

You could never be nameless - just not recognised by the ignorant for the beautiful lady you are!  If you never have another personna, I honestly envy you, though it's great fun to explore different characters.  With every name there can come another (totally different!) lady  - and imagine the thrill of being a new lady!   Who knows - you may just love the experience...  Holly XXX

I have always loved romantic sounding names. I chose Genivieve because I liked the way it sounds and it sounds romantic to me. I changed the spelling to make it my own! 😊

Cerys Matthews, the singer from the band Catatonia. Like me, she's Welsh. Unlike me, she's gorgeous and has an amazing voice both when singing and talking.
I wanted a Welsh name, but one that no friends or family had.It also had to be someone I admired. Cerys fitted the bill nicely.
It's also the name that was top of the list if my son was born a girl.
Sadly, my wife doesn't want me to use a name, so I'm only Cerys on here. I occasionally give it, if I'm in girl mode, on my own in a coffee shop.

Cerys

Cerys is based on the Welsh word caru, to love.

I didn't know how to pronounce the name so I looked it up - ker-es. A lovely name.

Hi Sharon, thank you for responding. I like the way you picked out your name and envy the way you live your life the way you want. I would love to wear a skirt when I felt like it but I pretty happy that I can wear one at home when I want to.

hugs

AnnaBeth
