UPDATE/EDIT:
It seems more people are interested in telling me how unhealthy it is to drink nearly a gallon of water a day, so I'll maybe put it this way: I have a ton of friends who down a 6 pack of beer after work, in addition to water throughout the day, in addition to a few big gulps, in addition to their coffee in the morning... combined, well over a gallon of fluid. A six pack alone is a little over half a gallon. (72 ounces). So when I say a gallon of water, that's my entire fluid intake, since I don't drink beer, I don't drink soda, I don't drink big gulps, I don't drink anything else. WATER is my choice of drink the entire day. Water with breakfast, water with lunch, water with dinner, and water in between... throughout the entire day. I don't see this as some major issue ya'll are bringing up as unhealthy or "not recommended".

ORIGINAL:
The answer, water.  For the last few years, I've gotten into the habit of drinking nearly a gallon of water every single day without skipping a beat.  I've tried everything, every product, every health care regimen, every beauty tip, everything under the sun... and the only thing that has made a visible difference to my health, my skin, my overall appearance, is water.  Ever since I started the water intake consistently, I really don't watch how/what I eat, as long as everything is in moderation obviously.  But I attribute the youthfulness to water intake, specifically.

Just sharing with all you beautiful ladies out there!

Thank you!  Untouched, always.  My camera phone isn't the best quality especially when light is low... it loses detail and color.  Moto G Stylus.  But it works as a phone pretty well! LOL.

Interesting.  Thank you for the information!  I'll have to research the term.  I wonder if it'll now have an adverse affect years down the road?  It's been a few years now I've been consistent at nearly a gallon, and the benefits have been very positive... but thanks for the info!  Is it a condition that typically starts right away?  I've always drank lots of water, especially through my 20's and 30's, but only the last 3 years or so have been daily.

Thanks again for the information!  More research and learning and trying and exploring!

Hi Stephanie, I wanted to follow up after doing some research.  It appears that hyponatremia is a condition where your body reaches an abnormally low sodium level.  Drinking excessive water is just one of a plethora of possible causes of this sodium dilution in blood.  Symptoms of hyponatremia typically appear within 48 hours of your body falling into this condition. (I'm about 3 years late of seeing any negative symptoms).

If it's based on sodium levels, I'm a major sushi eater (along with dousing it all in soy sauce and wasabi).  It's pretty much a daily dinner for me at my local sushi restaurants.  I wonder if that balances it out to where my sodium levels never really fall to diluted levels?

I will say that all health checks at the doctor have always been good and my levels are always normal.  I haven't even caught a common cold (let alone had the flu) for over 12 years straight.

Thank you though for the information and concern!  What a great community here 🙂

I think that you have the perfect storm. There is probably a whole lot of factors that help you look as good as you do and belie your years. You have the natural look and lifestyle to be so beautiful.

I could say my body is a temple but the restoration fund is a bit short. I have to work at my look, like most women do,having to get from Gollom to glam.

I have been told I look younger than my years but I have to work at it with hair, makeup and some enhancing.

Hi Carmen. You look fantastic. Are you trans or a CD? I checked your profile but you've not filled it out yet. I know water is good for all of us but more than that comes into play and we are all different. You appear to have good genes and good life habits which shows. I doubt water would correct or even help my life's vices and male DNA.

Hi! Yes, I definitely agree with you. There are a lot of things that go into health (let alone eating right and exercise), but I just posted more as a reminder (and I tell my family all the time), you gotta drink enough water. That feeling of sluggishness, fog, dry skin, itchiness, rash they get all the time... at least replace a few cups of coffee with straight water and get enough rest! LOL. If you wonder how I drink so much... I've replaced pretty much every drink (except one cup of coffee in the morning) with water. Also saves a ton of money at the restaurants AND makes me feel better overall... it's a win win for me. No sodas, no teas, no canned drinks of any kind... no anything but water every day.

Ooops sorry, didn't answer your question. I'm CD. I'm not on hormones or anything like that... trying to be as feminine as possible as naturally as possible... and as quick as possible. I have to jump in and out of guy/girl mode on a daily basis. I focus on the minimal. Since my hair is long, it's a huge advantage. Nobody questions it in guy mode, and nobody questions it in girl mode.

Congrats Carmen! You look amazing and clearly won the genetic lottery when it comes to appearance! I also constantly get the shocked look and asked what my secret is when I tell people I'm 51  I usually get pegged for mid to late 30's and supposedly and have been told I look even younger when all done up 🙂

Hi Soriya (omg, love the name!!!!!)...

Anyhow, YES, thank you! That's exactly the maximum age people guess in guy mode! I have no idea in girl mode what people think I am... never brought up... though frequently a man will walk up and start with "I may be too old for you, but...". And I'll turn and they're in their probably late 30's early 40's. LOL.

Urine... clear with yellow hue for the most part... but that depends on what I eat as well. Anything Vit C heavy and it seems to brighten to a yellow yellow, clear still though, not cloudy at all. LOL... talking about urine here!

But yeah, close to 1 gallon. I carry gallon jugs in my car when I'm out and about. From morning through night, I'll sip on that thing til nearly empty (maybe a few ounces left). Surprisingly however, I have to go to the bathroom less. It definitely makes me more "regular"... instead of frequent mad dashes to the bathroom or getting up in the middle of the night needing to go. I know, opposite of what you'd think it would work like in that regard.

Thanks! Even better when someone in their 40's thinks they are too old for you! You truly do not look your age. I drink a lot of water as well, maybe a half gallon on average a day and not the best eater but I was a late bloomer growing up. I looked like a 7th grader my Sr. year of high school which made things difficult back then but I suppose I got the last laugh. I see pictures of some of the people I went to school with and OMG!

Hahahaha! Totally same here. My highschool buddies that I see on an annual (sometimes longer) basis always say the same thing when we get together... "WTF dude, that's hella unfair.. do you not age?".

In relates to crossdressing though... I walked in to one of our casinos a few nights ago and the dang security guards carded me before being allowed in. Internally I was so damn embarrassed since it was un-expected, and well, I'm a CD. I covered my pic with my thumb instead of handing it to them, and showed them the year and that was that. They were all "1970? Holy crap ma'm, unbelievable... you.are.FINE."

While I certainly don't look as young as you and I don't do everything I could and should for my health, I'm right there with you when it comes to water. I have a 1 liter Sigg bottle and I drink at least 3 a day. I'm also over 50 and I find that I look and feel better when I drink at least a gallon of water a day.

If it is working for you (seems as though it is) then don't change a thing. Everyone is different, some are more different than others (LOL). Keep on keepin on!

Hugs, MaryAnn
