As when do you prefer to dress. I have to tell you, it is a hard one for me, summer I can wear a nice little dress, shorts, sandals, but it is still too hot to be out and about.
I really enjoy the cooler weather, autumn fashion is by far my favorite, a lot of colors, can accessorize so many different way, scarfs, boots, heels without having to sweat just to walk through a parking lot.

Also, I need to add, the sensation of a cool, crisp wind hitting my body is a unique sensation, something I thought about it as we finally had a couple of cooler days, it has been brutally hot the last month.

I wish you all well.

Hi Carla, all the replies so far seem to be from your side of the pond, so lets consider the UK. Famous for its rain (apparently) though I suspect it depends a lot on whereabouts in the UK you are ... where I am there does seem to be a slightly drier microclimate. We can have days in mid summer that can occasionally be cooler than the odd warm day in mid winter.

I enjoy all the seasons because it means I can (obviously) vary the clothes I wear ... Light skirts (knee length or lower calf length), loose tops and sandals in the warmer seasons; add a jacket if it's not quite so warm. As it gets cooler the leather bomber jacket comes out, or lovely wool coats (shorter or well below the knee) with boots as it gets colder. Just so many variations and options and I love them all.

@fembecky Hello Rebecca,

It’s nice to hear from you, and yes season are a bit different than being in So. California. I have been to London and a couple of other cities close by a few times, we did get quite bit of rain, but I really enjoyed the English fashion, especially around October, not too wet, not too cold.

@carlafirst11 I agree with you Carla, I enjoy the cooler weather way more while dressed feminine. My wardrobe leans more towards cool weather and of course me being a huge pantyhose fan has a lot to do with it.

@carlafirst11 For me the best season is Spring to Fall. Almost any time when it is not to hot or to cold OR rainy. Some of the warmer days out wearing a sundress and sandals to show off my red toenails. OR a nice colorful top and leggings. Just so many choices.

@carlafirst11 Carla, having a cool breeze envelop stockinged legs( I wear pantyhose)is thrilling. To feel a cool breeze go up my dress is a gift from heaven.

@carlafirst11 I'm a fall and early spring girl!  I love to wear a pair of leggings, a chunky sweater and a scarf with a pair of boots!   I also love skirts like kilts with a nice sweater and boots.

@carlafirst11 If we are talking strictly women’s fashion, fall without a doubt. I love the colors, the styles and the fact it’s just getting cool enough to wear pretty jackets, coats, scarves, and hats.

Weatherwise, I’ll take summer all day long. All year long for that matter lol

I've lived or spent significant time in a number of places.  All with different climates and seasonal variation.

I can say with certainty that I prefer the cooler temperatures and natural color of Autumn.

Autumn just feels like the perfect season to me.  The weather is just right.  The leaves are changing color.  I can wear pretty much anything in my wardrobe.

Later in the season people are getting into the Holiday spirit, and with it, opportunities to wear outfits that would be out of place at other times of the year.

I admit that the cooler weather has the benefit of not having to worry about overheating. That said, cute little booty shorts are awfully fun to wear! 😉

I live alone, so I dress all day, every day. To qualify all day, if I am going out, I fit in as the guy that society expects, but still wear femme clothes. Dressing in femme clothes has become less of an event for me, and much more of a daily normal, following the seasons as they come & go.

I like spring and fall for the wide range of colors and styles to wear. They can't be beat. I love summer for the long days and short shorts, but not so much for the actual fashions. Winter is my least favorite, here in the Pacific Northwest. Grey, dark, rainy, cold. You have to wear so many layers that you can hardly tell people apart at all. Looking forward to autumn's colorful tights, sweaters, and skirts!

Another vote for cooler seasons for reasons stated above and it’s easier to blend in with more layers and coverage. Plus, there are so many opportunities to get creative with outfits. Just love figuring out ways to pair boots with skirts, jeans, sweaters, and everything else to come up with comfy but attractive looks.

I absolutely prefer autumn to early spring. I love the look of high neck and turtleneck tops, as well as long sleeves, so Jackie has to pretty much hibernate during the summer months. Add to that the shapewear and four pounds of make-up and I will always take the colder months. Besides, you can't really wear thigh high boots in the summer!

After experiencing living as the woman I truly am, for two and a half years now, I can tell you my favorite seasons are Spring and Autumn. I live on the Pacific coast of Canada, Summer is too hot and Winter too cold.  I absolutely love wearing sweaters, and those two seasons are sweater friendly. Seasonal footwear for those months is easy, my ankle boots, sneakers and flats are my go to's, sandals on the warmer days.

Hugs,

Ms. Lauren M

I hate the summer heat and humidity but it is my favorite time because I get to wear light spring/summer dresses, short loose skirts, tank tops and my bathing suit. I like cool weather clothing but summer is my favorite.

What are these seasons you speak of? Where I live the only seasons are perfect and near perfect. Shoets and flipflops for me year round, with the occasional pants if it is raining, which is not very often.

Sometimes I do wish I lived somewhere with seasons, but then I travel and realize I prefer living where I live, i.e. there are nice places to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

Hello JJ,

Thank you for your participation, you must be from either Northern California or maybe San Diego, because where I live, summer has been so very hot, it just burns your skin, definitely not for me, have fun.

@jjandme I grew up in Las Vegas, and I could live the rest of my life without seeing snow and I would be perfectly happy. It does get a little cool there in the winter time, but it’s very tolerable.

here in the Midwest, it’s been an awfully rainy, not very hot summer. Winter wasn’t bad but it was sloppy and wet. It seems we don’t get the snow here like we used to, but I drive for a living and it’s always white knuckle all day long when it’s icy or snowing out lol

I would love to live out west again like you do, but it’s expensive and there’s just too many people lol. You guys have the awesome weather out there on the West Coast though.

I've loved the UK summer this year - my first full season as Fiona.  It's not been a terrific one by UK standards, but there's certainly been heat at times, and enough sun to get decent strap marks.  We've a nice week in the mid-high twenties coming up, and then it'll probably be into Autumn.  I've not got too many non-summer items, so this will be an excuse for more new clothes, and filling the drawer and storage space I have recently created, by displacing summer-only clothes from the wardrobes.  Both of which are sadly full, now that I've finally hung all my tops and skirts.

A old CD once wisely said, "crossdressing is a winter sport". Yes, here in temperate Melbourne Australia, we can extend that to late autumn and late spring. But for this old bird who "glows" a lot, as a generality, November to March is "forget it" time. Far too hot for daytime dressing, tho the cooler nights are lovely in silk sleepwear and just a sheet on my poor old bod.

Age appropriate dressing does not work for me in summer, so I just dont venture out. This last 12 months has also given me some non fatal health problems, so I have not been public at all. Have not even had the chance to have an overnight getaway to get my "full Caty On" in Private.

Caty.

I do better in the cooler weather.  I don't get hot too easily and enjoy some of my long dresses.  Spring/Fall are the most ideal seasons.

Hey Carla, While I like summer for shorts and swimsuit time, my vote is for Fall and Spring.  Here in the Wisconsin Midwest that's the time when the air is cool, humidity is down and bugs are mostly non-existent.  No slush or sweating and a perfect time for dancing all night in a little black dress.  I'm already getting my outfits ready.  Party on,  Marg

I'm another UK girl, from the North East coast where it is seldom very hot, so I am content with dressing whatever the season.

Having said that, I was getting decidedly bored with what seemed to be the never-ending winter we had this year and a pseudo-spring which dribbled into July, with a few non-rainy days, but a constant cold wind from the sea. Anyhoo, I have to say I've been appreciating the slightly warmer weather we've been having since we got back from our holidays to wear some sleeveless tops and dresses (without a cardigan for a change!), with just a single pair of very sheer tights.

Hi Carla,

The seasons I enjoy the most are Autumn and Spring and most of my feminine wardrobe is more suitable for those seasons. The hottest days of summer can be far to hot to be comfortable and the coldest days of winter requires too much clothing.
