It seams I spend a lot of time hiking my bra straps back up onto my shoulder. What am I doing wrong? Adjustment? Fit? Posture? All of the above? This seems to happen with a variety of bras. Is it that my forms aren't weighted?
try to tighten the straps a little bit. forms might help as well
I suspect it is your weightless forms as bras are designed to have some tension in them thus putting some stress on the straps. Some use balloons filled with birdseed in olive oil or you could consider some forms.
another reason they slip down is shoulders sloping down some. Or straps to loose. Sometimes band is to big or style of bra is causing the problems. Bra is to old another problem. One more is some people require wider straps then the narrow straps.

Posture is also a factor. Men tend to slouch from the shoulders, which will allow the bra straps to slip. Keep your shoulders slightly up and slightly rolled back (chest proud) will also aid in keeping the straps from slipping.
So how does that work Angela? How do you get enough birdseed, or rice or whatever in a balloon? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I really can’t figure out how you’d fill up balloons with seed.
Thank you ,
Clara (she ain’t no Einstein)
Not a dumb question at all. You need a funnel and stretch the opening of the balloon around the tip at the end. Pour the birdseed into the funnel and it will shoot into the balloon. The size you need to get is up to you. If you are happy with the inserts you have then use that as a size guide. Do not put any olive oil when you do this as it makes them a bit sticky. A tiny amount when done.
You could always use an old pair of panty hose by cutting off the foot and filling the toe end. This way you will see what is going in and when you are satisfied tie off the end. ( No olive oil required this way)
Just use plain seed and not the ones with extra 'bits'
Hope this helps.
Probably slopey shoulders? If you Google "bra straps slipping" you'll get loads of hits for clever little doohickeys that attach to the strap and give you a non-slip surface.

Sometimes when we have a bra that is too small in the band we add an extension piece in the back. This pushes the bra straps out further than was intended. This make them want to slip down. There is a bra clip that is round and can hold the straps together in the back. These can be difficult to put on and keep on. I also found some straps that are meant to hold the bra straps together in the back that are similar to a bra strap in material and are adjustable. I bought mine from Amazon. I also found that my straps are more loose when I sit down.
I've been told that if bra straps are slipping then the bra isn't fitted properly but I think a lot of factors come into play. The other girls have mentioned several reasons and I think all are correct. Does your bra have elastic straps or non elastic straps? Some of the retro vintage style bras don't have elastic straps.
I might add that if you have a favorite bra you want to keep then you can get some bra strap hickeys that have silicone on one side and slip over the strap and sit on top of your shoulders. Sorry I don't know the correct name of these. You can also get a spray can of silicone and spray the underside of the straps yourself. So if weighted forms and holding your shoulders up or adjusting the strap length doesn't work then try the silicone. Personally, I think seeing a girl hitch up her bra strap is sexy.
Never would have thought of using bird seed. A friend was once telling me that she used to use water balloons, but that she had an embarrassing moment in front of Neighbors when one popped. That probably would not happen with bird seed.
I think you're absolutely right. They're getting unruly because they have nothing to do. One time One me and a friend were dressed in drag at Halloween the girls noticed that we kept pushing our boobs down. She thought it was because we liked playing with them I told her it was because they didn't weigh anything and if I didn't do something they would wind up around my neck. She laughed and after that once in a while she would give them a good tug to keep them in place. We had fun at that party.
Yes. I blame my posture. I find if I consciously hold my shoulders up and back (which is hard to do after so many years of slouching) I don’t have nearly as much trouble with my straps. They also make small bands to place between the straps across the shoulder blades to help, which some have mentioned are tricky to put on.
Instead of balloons, I have fashioned boobies from an old pair of nylons and rice. Pour some rice in the toes, give it a couple of twists, fold the excess back over the ball and tie a small knot. Snip off the remainder.
The small knots resemble nipples and the nylon rubbing your own nipples provides a small bit of, shall we say, stimulation.
Ok Angela, Clara-44D reporting in.....
A bird seed packager sells niger thistle seed in 13 oz “socks” so they are convenient to hang to feed the little birdies. I bought two. I suppose I could buy the bulk package but this is a nice bonus because they are essentially equally measured and nicely packaged to start. I then took two knee high nylons and transferred the seed into the much softer nylon. Really easy to do. Clip the top of the seed bag, slide it in the nylon and let the seeds fall in. No spillage, very neat and clean. Tie off the nylon sock and voila, instant boobies!
The thing about seeds (or rice) in nylons is that they are quite malleable so you need to squeeze and tug and squish to get them symmetrically shaped. A pleasant chore if I may say. At 13 oz they have a nice little bounce too.
Now if I can just figure out how to keep the little wrens from pecking at my chest I’ll be all set.
Clara, also nicely packaged.
