While shopping in Walmart last Friday I saw these really cute denim skirts that had cargo pockets. I picked out two, a green and a brown. I was told to pick one. I didn't pay enough attention to the size. It said L 12-14. Normally a large fits fine if its a 10-12. I didn't pay attention to the 12-14. So I got the brown one home, tried it on and basicly fell off me even with shape wear on. Took it back the next day. Asked about changing rooms. Walked right by them the day before. As I'm being let in the room there is a mother with her teenage son and daughter waiting for help with something. Teen boy starts to giggle seeing a skirt in my hand. My wife tells him don't knock it till you try it. Woman's cloths are just more comfortable. I'm not telling you how to dress but go grab a pair of panties and feel the difference. When I got done mom and kids were gone, just my wife and female associate there. Associate asks how did it fit? Perfect. I have other things from No Boundaries in a Large that fit fine but skirts for some reason I'm a medium 8-10. Anyone else had an experience like this? Boldly shopping in drab in the women's section, wife standing up on your behalf.
hey I saw the same skirts at my local Walmart! Sounds like we are the same size too
Not really. Because of my wife's work hours, she and I usually shop at different times and in different stores.
I have no idea how well she would handle a situation. Untested, unproven.
A skirt with pockets is brilliant, as is your wife's reply.

How nice of your wife to stick up for you like that. I love her comment "don't knock it until you try it". So very true.
How nice that you tried it on and the SA asked about the fit with no problem. Just goes to show that sizing isn't always a given.
Enjoy the green one as well when you get it.
XOXO

Not quite rhe samerhing, but I was backapacking in a skirt and a guy from the Netherlands caught up to me feom behind ask asked about my skirt.I just told him how cool and comfotable it was and he just reploed thay he would have to check it oit whenhe got home. He did not knock it, and may trt it.
On the same hike a woman in a small group who was also hiking in a skirt just commented, "great skirt, I don't know why more people wear rhem."
So I went back today to get the green one. Nope. Sold out. Guess I'll have to use the one I have to make a pattern. I'll make it myself out of leather.
