Have gone through I don't know how many wigs trying to find the right one. Between size, color and length what is a girl to do. You read so many things about short, long, oblong and oval faces which one do I chose.

Myself I have a oblong face with fair complexion what I've read to stay away from long straight  and dark hair. Well that is the way I started out short hair with sandy blonde or blonde hair.

The short to a little past the ears was not working, I looked better as a brunette but that wasn't me. Then I figured with my age how about grey and decided to go down to my shoulders. Boy what a difference, like night and day.

I can't believe the transformation how much different I look, according to my face shape long hair shouldn't look good on me. If you would take a look at my intro. Photo I think you would agree.

@lexinicole

I think your wig looks fabulous.  You have to take the online wig advice with a grain of salt.  I stayed close to the advice on one of my previous wig purchases and ended up hating it. I tried a couple more until I found what made me feel my best -without regard for what the advice might say.

@lexinicole For what it may be worth, I have tried many different wigs in a variety colors and styles. The inner girl in me always wanted a long flowing hairstyle. The first wig I bought online was the style what I had dreamed of and it looked terrible on me no mater how I tried to style it. Then one day I went to a wig salon and asked for some help in finding a nice wig in a color and style that suited me. After trying I don’t know how many wigs that day, the conclusion was this. What always looked nicest on me was a full shoulder length wig with bangs in a medium color. Nothing very dark or very light, went well with my skin. Red/auburn was my favorite and I also thought I looked nice in a dirty blonde color. By trying on many styles and colors I was able to come out of the shop with a couple of wigs that suited me very well. Later on, because of what I had learned that day. I was able to purchase wigs online that also suited me. In the end, had I gone to the salon first, I would have saved some money and achieved a more feminine look sooner than I did. Good luck!

In my younger days I loved shoulder length wigs with bangs and needed lighter colors to be passable. Now in my later 60's I moved to shorter and more age appropriate hair like Martha Stewart. I know I am no model but just love trying to pass in public

It looks super Lexi. It took me  a while to get it right, the best thing that happened to me was a when a friend pointed me in the direction of a wig stylist and supplier. It was a game changer for me as I got great advice the style and each wig was cut in to suit.

Well why not go for it anyway? I gained a lot of tips about wig care and am now able to do some little trims to make a wig last longer.

Your wig looks great ! I wouldn’t overthink what style to wear. Just go with what feels right. For example I always envisioned myself with long black hair as a woman for my whole life. That’s my natural hair color as well. When the time came to buy my first wig it was a no brainer. Don’t have much desire to wear any other color at this time either
