My wife recently bought me a cute sleeveless summer dress from Marks And Spencer's in the UK.It has blue and white stripes.As the recent hot spell in the UK has broken I was deliberating whether to wear tights with it but my wife suggested I wore the dress without them.I have worn skirts in the summer months without hose but never a dress.I have to say that it looked and felt great.And that is coming from a girl like me who has been wearing tights since she was twelve.I am always very self conscious of going bare legged thinking that my legs do not look so good without the aid of nylons but I needn't worried.I caressed my knees in the same way that I hug them when I have tights on.Also,the dress is very girly and made me feel at least twenty years younger.My supportive wife said I looked lovely in it,which is very gratifying.I think my S.O.and I will be making a return trip to M&S to buy another summery dress each before too long.
OMG...sounds lovely, Roberta....I can only imagine you are blessed with "legs to die for"...in my dreams..."so am I"...hahaha...but that is hardly reality...stockings are "a must" for me...and preferably, black opaque...!!! I envy you...I hope you find more opportunities to be out and about during the coming Summer months....ENJOY....!!!
I know how you feel Roberta. Last month, I bought three summer casual dresses, 2 with spaghetti straps and one with bare shoulders. I had never worn these types of dresses before and I felt very girly and femme. I love them.
And here I am still in my anorak and mukluks! 😉

I was the same as you but there are some lovely longer summer dresses about and who needs hose? painted toenails and open sandals are a nice touch too.....

I live in Florida where it's hot pretty much all the time. Women here almost never wear tights/pantyhose. It's just too hot for that.

Live in the UK and from May to October only wear shorts so the legs have a great tan especially this year.
Don't have to wear tights when I wear my skirt great to have the cool air around legs and bits.

I've been wearing stockings and pantyhose since I was 4. I was always fascinated by women's legs in nylons. I wanted my legs to look like theirs and have that wonderful, silky feel. Well, to get that look, I needed heels. I borrowed a pair. And a short dress to show off my silky legs in my nylons. I often wore shirts as my short dress.
I wanted to be like the girls. Put on my nylons, heels, short dress and go out and show off my legs while looking so pretty. Finally, at 17, I acquired some short girl's shorts, a pair of platform wedge heels, made some breastforms from old pantyhose and bought a couple of wigs. I wanted to go out looking like Daisy Duke. To show my long sexy legs in pantyhose, with my little shorts and platform wedge shoes and pretty hair was dreams and fantasies coming to life. I loved the entire look and was shocked seeing myself the first time in a mirror as a sexy girl with amazing legs and wonderful hair gazing back at me. I was stunned I could look like that.
That whole charade though was so I could go out and show off my legs in pantyhose. When I did, it was often scary, but some of the most amazing excitement and thrills. Patty, or her predecessor was created solely for the purpose of wearing pantyhose and showing my legs in them. No pantyhose, no Patty.
Years later, it's still about the pantyhose. When I wear pantyhose with a short dress and heels and show my legs, I feel pretty, I feel sexy and I feel femme. If I go bare legged, I don't have those feelings.
I slide on some silky pantyhose and I start feeling those things. Slip into pair of heels and the feelings get stronger. Put on a short dress, feelings stronger still. Slip some forms into my bra. Now I'm really excited. Put on a wig. Look at myself in the mirror and that's the orgasm. That's how I feel when out dressed.
If I do the same thing but don't wear pantyhose or stockings and I feel very little or nothing. I know it's wacky but no pantyhose means no Patty.
