Hey girls,

I was chatting with a friend of mine here and this topic came up.

Would you be happy to wear a bridal dress and be ready as a bride on your wedding or wish you could have done so?

I'm not referring here to marrying a man, your partner is a woman in a another beautiful bridal dress (or a man/woman in a tux/dress or anything for that matter depending on who you wish your partner be)

As for myself I would love to wear a bridal dress and be married to my girlfriend..And I would have loads of fun picking our bridal dresses together with her and my bridesmaid friends

Far too old to "get away with it" these days, but with the right hair and make up, I think I make a convincing "Mother of the Bride". See photos in my CDH profile.

30 something years ago I owned bridal gowns and just loved wearing them. E x hire dresses. Great way to get one cheap. "Too far gone" for hiring, but sill good enough for "us". Did the same with at least 3 bridesmaid dresses.

"Standard line"... "Role reversal fancy dress party", she fits my tux... I cant fit into her gown.."

Rubbishy stuff, but it worked every time

Cheap too for whats involved these elaborate pieces..

Caty.

Jenni,

Most definitely would like to wear one, though not for a full ceremony or anything, just to see how it looks and feels. I fear it would need a lot of shape padding though to get the right effect at the hips!

Yes of course Id love to but would have to be for the right person and then it would be the greatest day of my life walking down that aisle, staring into the eyes of the one you love and they love you the same, this would be the only reason I'd wear one as its supposed to worn. X

I would say yes.

I remember when we got married, I had to pick out a tux while my wife got to picked out a beautiful wedding gown.  When I was picking out a tux, they all looked the same to me, except maybe the colour.

When I picked one out, I went to the wedding gown area to look for my wife and my goodness, the beautiful gowns, styles, colours, it was intoxicating.  I did envision wearing some of those gowns, but alas it never came to fruition.

Years later, I finally did buy a wedding gown of my own.  While not as fancy as the ones you see on TV, it does have a small train.  I had to pick one that was not backless, and covered the whole torso.  It felt heavenly wearing it and looking like a beautiful bride.

This is a difficult question to answer. I would be lying if I said I have thought about wearing bridal dress.  A bridal dress, however, is the one item of clothing that I cannot wear without the explicit consent of my wife. And it is consent for which I cannot ask. If my wife were to offer her consent freely, I would consider wearing a dress, but without her consent it will not happen.

Hi Jenni,

Yes i would love to wear a bridal dress,

It's a bit late to wear one now as we have been married a long time, in 2022 it will be our Golden wedding anniversary,

I would love to have a professional makeover and have a professional photographer taking pictures of me wearing a bridal dress but that would have to be in secret, as I'm still in the closet,

oh YES Jenni... that would be a dream come true....

Years ago, my sister and her then girlfriend asked me to be a bridesmaid in their wedding.  Alas....the wedding never happened and I was never a bridesmaid..... That's the closest I would come  to wearing a wedding dress.

One of my favorite movies is  27 Dresses

Wow. For real? I would love to marry my wife in a wedding dress. It would be one of the most exciting things that I think could happen to me. And it would be very hard to out do her. She is very pretty. But I would love to try.
