Well, here in the UK the shops seem to have extended Black Friday into a week or even a full month. I have never really taken that much notice of it before, but since Rebecca started blossoming in 2023 she can't miss out on that! Shops here I come.
After much trying on I have ended up with a new skirt, a dress and a short wool wrap around tie belt jacket. All with great discounts, and a huge grin on my face.

Michaela; "Black Friday" is not a great thing here in the good old UK - the massive amount of adverts on the TV seem to be pretty well ignored by almost everyone and just why should it be? Isn't it something to do with "Thanksgiving" (whatever that is supposed to be?) Rebecca; have fun shopping (I always do!) and Lauren; we ALL know that we need new panties and bras - even though we only bought a new set yesterday! Love you all: Holly XXX

When did black friday become a "thing" in the UK? It never was when I was growing up and I never really heard of it until I moved to the US in 2012. For me, black Friday is a time to stay home, along with those other days of Boxing Day & New Year sales. Also the so-called Cyber Monday, I stay away from my computer that day too. 😀
@michaela2001 Can't remember when Black Friday took off in the UK, but I don't think it was more than a few years ago. It's really just another way for the shops to entice us to spend money before Christmas. But at any time of year if I can find the clothes I want at a well reduced price, I'll go for it!

Black Friday (developed in the US as the day after Thanksgiving) has been a thing since I was a kid so back into the 20th C. Cyber Monday is another opportunistic offshoot as well as Local (stores) Saturday. Spend spend spend!
As for me, I could go crazy shopping with all the deals but there is a limit to how much wardrobe my wife thinks is appropriate so I need to spread out what shopping I do so I keep having fun!
My Email inbox has just blown up all week with Black Friday deals. I did take advantage of a few deals from my favorite sellers. Two or three cute items I am looking forward to wearing..
