The compliment

My questions (2) are as follows

1. You're in a restaurant and see a lady and you absolutely love her shoes. As she walks by you have 2 things on your mind 1 who makes them and 2 where did she get them. You look her right in the eye and compliment her shoes and a male voice from this woman's face says "thank you so much"

Do you continue to speak to her and find out where and who or do you disengage and let her move on.

2. Same place only a woman with a male voice compliments your shoes. Do you reply and how so. Do you entertain further conversation or politely dismiss her/yourself.
