I haven’t been able to access my pm’s or messages and get a message that the browser is out of date. Yesterday everything worked fine.
I’m getting email messages and click on the link which works to get to a forum post. But not to a message.
I can post a comment in a forum but when a reply msg notice is sent I can’t get to it. Next I’ll try to get to the forum post and scroll down to the reply.
Any thoughts on getting the messages?

I get this intermittently, Alice. I'll tap to the open a private message and I find myself back at the welcome page. I don't get a browser message but I've found that logging in using a different browser usually works.
As to why this happens, no idea 🙄.

Hi Alice - You should be ok with Firefox
Coincidentally, I'm getting the occasional 'bad gateway' error of late, but a page reload works. I wonder if cloudflare is playing up - but that's more of a guess than a conclusion. Anyone else ?
No problem of any sort using DuckDuckGo app/browser.

Like Sienna Satin, I use the Firefox browser and have no trouble with CDH. I use it on my macbook and my Samsung galaxy S21 plus. I mention the hardware for a reason. When posting about a tech issue, including the hardware in the post may be relevant to the solution sometimes. You say the message is that the browser is out of date but you don't mention which browser you are using. What ever it is, you can go to their web pages on your computer, or the app store on your phone and see if a newer version is available. Tech issues can be so unsettling. Shouldn't it all be automatic now? There are some web pages that I can't load on Firefox and I have to use Chrome for. Including one of the portals for my medical records and bills. It just doesn't work on Firefox. Usually it is a long time between uses so I forget. Then i try doing it with Firefox, get frustrated, and then the ez-bake oven bulb in my brain turns on and I remember.... oh yeah, gotta use chrome for this.......
I sympathize with your frustration. In any case I hope you get it worked out.

@emmat Hi Emma, I’ve seen the gateway message a few times. But haven’t seen it with this new message.

@augustvaliant Hi Autumn, Good point. I’m using IOS on my iPad. Tried another iPad with IOS and got the same message. Went to the App Store looking for chrome and Firefox but it wasn’t available for iPad. I’ll look for the Duck Duck Go as suggested.

@alexina Thanks Allie, Since yesterday the message comes up consistently. I notice that my replies go to the bottom instead of right after a post I’m replying to.

@sienna106 Hi Sienna, Looking in the App Store I think the Firefox app available is for a Mac but not for an iPad.

@valentina16 Hi Valentina, Just found DuckDuckGo in the App Store and downloaded it. Then went to settings to select it. Back to CDH and tried to get to Alice’s wall. Yep, still getting the browser is out of date message.

The Cache in Chrome often causes problems if not regularly cleaned.
click the 3 dots top right in Chrome
Select “Delete browsing data”
Select at least Cookies & Cached boxes and History if you wish.
Click Delete Data
This is usually the best starting point for problems.

I apologise I thought you were using a computer. On your Iphone you can do the same.
Go to settings
Go down to Safari, you may have to select Apps first
Scroll down to the bottom and select “Clear history and website data”
This may help
If your phone is an old IOS it may not update.
Find a family member that has just replaced their not too old Apple Phone and confiscate their old one for yourself.
