Preface - this is not a critique (so please no one take it that way!), it’s just my own observation and question…
A while back when I upgraded to a paying membership, I confess that I was excited to be able to join the various ‘groups’ under the belief that I’d find lots of focused discussion going on in them.
What I’ve found is the opposite - many seem to be ‘dead’ with the predominant activity being new members joining them. There are few, if any, new forum topics in them - some of the most recent postings are months or years old, and and the group chat rooms are similarly inactive (that one is a bit more understandable because the group members need to obviously be in the chat room at the same time).
It seems to me that most of the stuff people want to share is done here in the various ‘open’ forums and little if anything is going on in the group forums. Am I missing something???
I’d love to discover that there’s a button I missed which upon clicking opens the speakeasy door and reveals a party going on inside!

Yes, I just joined the food one and there's just no action. Should be enough girls here that cook, and enjoy food, but the momentum to get the group forum off the ground doesn't seem to be there. And to be honest we do start threads in the 'life' forum, that would sometimes be ideal for a group forum.

EDIT: Sorry I should have added that it won't stop me (or you too, I'm sure, Marcelette) renewing a membership. I think giving a bit of money each year (IF you can afford it) is a small price to pay for a fantastic resource.
Its simple.... the open forums are free to anyone who cares to made an account while the groups and other functions are only for paying girls. Also there are lots of other sites we can visit with more or less activity than this site. Not sure what the status is for the creators of CHD but I know the poll function stopped working a while back.
I tried several, they are all the same. Too many joiners, too few participents.

I agree but is this possibly the answer? Since some changes have been made to the CDH website, I am no longer able to access any of my previously joined groups. Currently I am " lady" status. If I try to go to one of my groups, all I get is an enticement to upgrade my status. Maybe I am not doing something correctly and that is the reason for my experience. Just thinking out loud. 😊
