Hello girls....

It's into autumn here in England and the temperature either end of the day is dropping.....

Just a straightforward question really.....how do you feel about wearing slippers???.....do you or don't you like them/ wear them???

I have to admit, I had some red feathery mules....pretty but not very warm.....I needed a change.

Well now I have some white furry ankle boots....with white faux fur around the tops. The soles are flat, but so thick that i could easily wear them outside as ordinary boots....i probably will. They are quite similar style to ugg boots and very very cosy....

So....slippers 👍 or 👎?????

Toasty-toed grace xx

Hi Grace,

Definitely fluffy snug as a bug slippers for me sweetie. You can almost hear the mmmmmm as your feet sink into wooly lining. Not a fan of the booty slippers though. I must say fluffy lined outdoor  leather boots definitely a yes this time of year.

Sad to say I can’t slipper en femme. If I did I would get some strange stares from wife. I recently bought some white soles canvas deck shoes. They are “ cool” so I’m told. That is correct- my feet froze the first time I wore them. Socks with those from now on.
I try to keep them for indoors only. When you get to my age it’s difficult to remember where you are, so looking at my feet is a kind of aide memoir.

I’m a sock person- I get some skating practise while in the house. And if I go outside I get gravel in my socks. Kinda gets you thinking properly. I have very tender feet.
When kayaking I have to wear waterproof thick soles boots. The sea shore can be really painful. ( and slipper- ry).

Slippers are for night time- you wake up- go for a cuppa at 3 in the morning- stub your toe on everything-
Tread on the three pin plug you left on the carpet floor by the sofa- ( which is just perfect for you to collapse in when you stifle your scream of pain.

Grace obviously has those glow in the dark white slipper type. They are brilliant , especially if. You are wearing black. Any burglar would have a fright seeing feet arriving without the body above. Well done- best anti burglar device on the market. Scare the ******* to death.

I think they should be called indoor soft soled comfort boots or isscbs! Anything that starts with “i” must be techy.

Before I depart I must mention open toed slippers- don’t buy them- they hurt!!

Cheers - snuggles to you all.
Any- zzzz…. .. . ( gone)

Slippers have to be soft AND warm, sheepskin are best.  I usually have one really comfy, toasty pair for indoors, and a more utilitarian pair for quick trips out to the mailbox or car.

Regardless of the slipper though, in winter I wear nice thick cold weather socks, both male hunting socks or ladies multi-colored, fuzzy, up to the knee socks.  I even still wear toe socks when I can find them.

it's funny how cool can be hot....yet cool can be cold...same word!!!.....

Hi Toasty Grace,

Stay warm and cozy!  It’s turning chilly up here in the northeast so I’ll break out the wool slipper socks.

Hi Grace,

Looser than socks and heavier fabric.  Yes, there is a matting on the bottoms.  And mine go past the calf.

Getting chilly here in Ontario, though we are having a bit of a warm spell at the moment. I highly dislike cold feet, either as a guy, or as a woman, so slippers it is for me! Also, I have some nice cozy ladies PJ's to wear on the cold nights. Satin and silkiness is beautiful, but it doesn't keep me warm in the winter!

I would go with tights on cold floors.... the perfect balance of a little toasty and airy.  And your nail polish gets to be sort of seen.  Keeps the legs warm too around the house.

I wear slippers around the house quite a bit.

Out and about though, you suffer cold feet to show off cute shoes...plain and simple lol.

But at home, I can't abide cold toes...haha.

Have a great day

xoxo
