I bit the bullet and bought a small laser hair removal device! I should get it in tomorrow.
The reason is because a couple of days a week, my upper lip gets some patches of hair growth. Now, normally it's not a problem and I just pluck them. But for some reason (probably just cycle of hair growth), there's a period of a couple of days where you can see the dark hairs coming in, but they haven't broken through the skin yet, so it's impossible to grab hold to pluck!
Those two days drive me batty every time I look in the mirror, and then I end up trying to pluck them anyway but end up plucking a little skin and it makes it look worse!
So there you have it. It's just for my upper lip. I pluck my eyebrows regularly, so that's no big deal, but the upper lip dark shadow really diminishes my feminine mojo and makes me feel totally self conscious.
I'll keep ya'll updated if the device works or not, in case you were interested in the effectiveness of those devices.

Hi Samantha, thank you for the reply! Glad to hear these things are working for you. I've done a lot of research prior to getting one myself, so my expectations have been mediocre for what I want it for. I do know it's waaaaaaaaaay too early in the process for me to have any kind of opinion whether it's working or not. It's kind of relaxing and fun to use though I know that! LOL. I just need to get a few sessions done (and a few months), to hopefully get the results that I can report back on. I just don't have that feedback yet!
Yeah, agreed. The annoying part for me is the dark shadow underneath. I can get my upper lip totally smooth and hair free by plucking, yet, even though I can't "feel" anything by touch, I can see the dark shadow of the ones that are coming in. I hope the laser eventually will zap those little buggers!
