In my few weeks here, I’ve seen that some of the discerning ladies have good regard for matching their blouse size to their bosom, taking great care not to explode the buttons, most unbecoming.

But what comes first, the blouse size or the bust requirement.

In particularly liking a blouse for say colour, sleeve attributes or cut, are you comfortable with then adapting your bosom to match.

@valentina16 My primary concern is to look natural and not "stand out". I don't dress to impress, to make a statement or anything like that. I simply want to be viewed as the average woman, not a CD, not some fashionista, not an influencer. I want my bust to match my body type and look natural.

I have 3 sizes of forms for different situations. Some dresses require my larger size just to make them look like they fit properly. Some outfits need my middle size and most all of the time I wear the smaller because they just look the most appropriate for me and everything fits nicely. Before I bought the smaller forms I would always end up finding a blouse I loved only to see those buttons stretched to their limit. Not a good look on a woman.

@valentina16 I just have one size forms that seems to look like a natural size for my body.  So, if a blouse is too tight or big it gets tossed.

My first requirement would be if I liked it then match the size to my frame. As you say busting buttons is unbecoming and who'd want to ruin a good blouse.

I have not matched my forms to my blouse yet, I did initially have C cups but when I had a bra fitting the lady doing the fitting said for my body size I should get DD's. So I ordered those and I am very happy with them

I definitely match the bust to the blouse. Since I make cleavage without forms, I can sort of customize the fill/shape a bit to work with different shapes of neckline etc. I definitely recommend everyone to give it a try without forms if you have any useful chest tissue to work with.

Which method(s) would you recommend, Rebecca?

@harriette I just started using a new method actually. I have a pair of sticky inserts from a brand called Snowy. Basically place them in a very tight lifting bra and they act as an insert. Plus they are double sided sticky, so you pull your chest tissue up into a cleavage position and use the sticky insert to hold that in place in the bra.

Without the inserts you can use body tape, I’ve liked a brand called boob tape. You can tape your chest tissue up into place with the tape and fill out a push up bra to correct the shape. Also, if you google cleavage contour you can see some makeup tutorials to enhance the look of minimal cleavage.

Ooh, that doesn't sound very comfortable.

@rebeccabaxter I think you’d be surprised honestly. I’ve done forms with adhesive and that process was a no go for me. Too messy and frustrating to remove and I have less options for cute tops.

@rebeccabaxter Body tape is fine. If one can tolerate yanking hair out of our skin, it's nothing.

@rebeccaoh I have thought about doing something like this, but would need some supplies first.

I need to learn how to tape so that I get lift better, but I only have a little tape remaining right now.

I have seen make-up videos. It probably would work better from a distance.

I searched for Snowys on Wish (I ignore Amazon) and found that Walmart actually has them for half* of the Wish price. Not that I approve of Walmart, either. It's just that some crossdressers need to be frugal, too.

* Hmmm, plus a fair chunk for shipping, so it isn't as clear of a bargain because they are sold through a 3rd party. Gotta read the fine print.

Almost all of my dresses, blouses, bustiers, t-shirts, etc. allow me to accommodate either my breast forms or the breastplate. So I usually start by deciding on the outfit. When I travel I only take one breast form with me for reasons of luggage space.

I've settled in on my breast size that fits my frame. I have way too many Bras now to even think about changing that up. Given my size 36C i try to only buy clothes that fit and will offer the look that i want. Since i dont change my size, i shop for clothes that work for me and pass on things that wont. Having gotten my shape pinned down. Im pretty much a size 8 US, in everything. This makes it so much easier to shop.

@robertaf Sounds wonderful. I’m a size 20. I need to lose some weight. 😔
