  1. Hello everyone.

I have had questions in this, so I figured I would post in the forum.

A Brazilian waxing or Brozilian (what some salons call it for genetic males) is where you would have all hair removed from your pubic area, upper thighs, and bottom.

There are two types of hair removal you can do   One is the traditional hot wax removal and the other is sugaring.  Sugaring is a hair removal method that is cooler on the skin

I have experienced both.  Both are painful, but sugaring is less painful.  Typically this will cost around $100 depending on area you live in.

Also, not every salon offers this type of procedure more genetic males, so you will want to research places that will accommodate you.

The pros are that your skin feels silky smooth and soft and it lasts for a week or so because the hair is pulled out to the root.

The cons are the cost and it is painful.  There can sometimes even be a little bleeding.

I have done this procedure numerous times, but I tend to just shave myself now.  It saves money and also I do not miss the pain!

I hope this answers some questions, and feel free to ask me anything I may not have covered.

Best,

Christa

@christajacy What is your experience with waxing and ingrown hair?

@harriette Hi.  I haven’t had any issues with ingrown hair.  Maybe someone else here has?

Hi Christa, I had a full body wax including pubic area (but not genitalia) a few weeks ago. This was hot wax (I haven't heard of sugaring). I did not actually find it painful, but I have become used to waxing over the years; however it is the first time it included the Brazilian. Total cost about £80, but I suspect this is lower than the typical cost in the UK. The young lady who did it made a wonderful job of it, and I agree with you - it does leave the skin feeling really smooth and has lasted for at least 2 or 3 weeks. Although it costs a bit to get it done, the result of years of waxing is that (for the rest of the body) I now only need to go every 2 or 3 months 🤗 .

Oh yes.  Pain tolerance is important and apparently I do not have much of that. I promise it does hurt if they do the genitalia area.

If you do go more frequent it does eventually slow down hair growth where you do go less frequent as you stay smooth longer.

Thank you for sharing that. 😊

In general, any waxing is more painful the first time or three, but after that it is much more tolerable. I get my legs and brows waxed regularly and don't mind it at all. I have had my back done...not big deal, and chestas well which is a bit more painful.  I have never done a full brasillian, but epilat thst area regularly, so the one time I had that done it was not bad at all.

I do love having a nearly hair free body and do my underarms as well. I have been diving in Belize for two weeks, so wearing just swim trunks and nobody has commented. I have to admit that while I don't even thrink about my hairless legs, chest and bacj, I am still a little selfconscious about my bare underarms. My wife doesn't mind, so I really do not care.

For sure, JJ.  Legs and brows are not painful at all.

Sounds like you have many waxing experiences as well.

Thank you for the comment. 😊

I have a gg customer who does waxing and she calls it manzilian.  We've talked about me doing a full body including the manzilian, but I need to work up the courage.  LOL

I have been getting regular Brazilians for quite a long time. I have never felt that it hurt very much, not even that first time. That said it gets less painful over time as the follicles tend to thin or just stop growing at all.

I have had my legs done twice and found that to be pretty dang painful, but oh God did I love the results!

Chest is another area that I feel is probably the most painful on the male body. It will quite honestly take your breath away.

@darcy97 Thank you, Darcy.

I have had legs done as well, and I didn’t mind that as much.  I am fortunate to have very little chest hair so I haven’t experienced that in waxing.

@christajacy This reminds me of a few suggestive YouTube videos of subjects having wax removed without giving that context.

I've had my legs waxed every 4-5 weeks for the past year. It doesn't hurt really. Whenever I think about other waxing, like a Brazilian, it isn't the pain that's the deterrent. It's the intimacy. I just can't imagine someone in my sensitive bits so deeply! I get a little blushed when the upper inside of my legs are waxed, so I'll handle the other bits myself, thank you! 🤣

@justnikki thank you, Nikki.  You are totally right.  You have to be comfortable being nude for a Brazilian.  All these girls here getting full legs waxed!  It’s great!
