or rather the lack of.

I wear a 38A bra and stuff it with the toe end of stockings filled with rice. While this is satisfactory it doesn't really work. I need advice from you girls on how to fill out my A cups here in the UK, at present I'd rather not attach anything to my chest but rather fill the bra. I do tape my chest but it doesn't fill the cup.

Thanks Randi

Well Randi,

The only thing I can think of is a silicone breast in a pocket type bra. The bra keeps the breast in place without gluing or taping anything. Also it's not cumbersome like a breastplate.

I hope you can find something that will satisfy your needs!

Hi, Randi, I agree with Fran, silicone breast forms will be held in place easily by the bra and can be bought for around £25-£35 and, of course, much much more 😱

I'm a recent convert to bra's and forms and I bought "B" cup size initially but felt that my frame (6 feet tall and 13 stones) needed a slightly bigger bust. I was right. The "C" cup size makes me look more in proportion now and they're about as big and heavy as I'd want to carry around for weeks in the desert.

The bra arrived before the forms so, me being me, had the idea to fill a couple of balloons with water (I'd advise using warm water), until they looked about the right size. They did give weight and bounce but I still prefer the forms, they won't burst and soak you.

Let us know how you get on though.

@randia Silicone is the only way to go really if you want comfort & realism. There are some reasonably priced ones on ebay, ali express etc but I found that when I splashed out on a quality pair that the difference is where the money goes. You really do get what you pay for here. You should be able to get a reasonable set for around £40. You can pay less but I would guess that they are pretty poor quality. Try to get some with a "hollowed out" back rather than flat ones as they will fit better. The main problem with most of these is that they do tend to sort of perch on top of your chest rather than cover it but once you have clothes on they work OK. Hope that helps somewhat.

Like everyone else, I'd recommend silicone breast forms.  Careful what you wish for.  You probably will discover that you want bigger boobs!

Since you are only trying to fill an A cup the silicone enhancers sold at most drug stores or department stores will work. I have used them.in the past to fill an A cup bra, but soon realized I wanted more so bought rral breast forms to fill out bigger cups. I found regular bras work just fine for me, so no need for pocket bras or adhesives. You can find really cheap ones on line at Amazon or such, or better and more realistic at some of the better CD sites.

Amazon for Vollence breast forms. Cost between 30 and 50 quid. You don't need a pocket bra unless you want to keep the silicone away from your skin. I have D size forms and use either an underwired bra or a crop top bra (from M&S, thank you so much Anna).

So much better than stuffing a bra with food! 🙂

I agree on both counts Becca.

I love my Vollence D Cup forms, and yes, they fit fine in my M&S bras.

Gotta love M&S

Another vote here for Vollence forms from Amazon in M&S bras.

The forms are sized by weight, but they do have a conversion chart to show what cup sizes each weight corresponds to for different band sizes.  Don't forget to factor in any natural breast tissue that you have (most of us girls will have more than nothing).  I have their 500g and 700g forms which give me C and DD cups respectively on my 38" frame.  The newer ones (DD's) are a much better profile particularly at the thin upper ends.  Full-cup underwired bras keep them in place quite happily, even when I bend right down.

@rebeccabaxter Even if you want to keep the silicon off your skin, there are breast form covers available. Then a regular bra works a treat.

Hi Randi I'm a 38A cup too, I have these things that they call chicken fillets they are little sac's filled with silicone and you put them under your breasts to lift them up, I think it makes me look like I've got a fuller bust, I would love to get myself a breast plate so i could have a B or Ccup i don't want to go any bigger it might draw to much attention to me, I just want to blend in and not stick out,

Hugs Rozalyn X 🤗

I have not yet seen silicone push-up pieces to be used with taping and was wondering if I could make my own.

@rozalyne So these forms are designed to fill in cups under the taped area?

Hi Harriette you put them in your bra under your breasts and they lift them up so you have a fuller figure, I think young girls use them to make them look as if they have a larger bust, it works for me because I've got some man boobs that's why i can fill an Acup out,

@rozalyne When built into a bra they are called push-up bras The thing is that I have yet to see them as separate pads. I would like to find some, too, for when I tape, so I will search for some again. Thanks for the reminder.

I found that push-up bras and breast forms don't mix. You can even have your forms fall out of these bras under the right conditions.

Ladies thank you so much for the advice, I shall now have a ponder before deciding what to do. At present the first decision is how far do I want to come out as it is one thing wearing a 38B under a top and it is another filling that bra. I have a girl friend visiting next week so I'll discuss it with her but my feeling is to fill the bra for home use but be more circumspect when going out. I am having my ear lobes pierced on Monday which is another step outside, I'll let you all know what I decide.

If I wanted to write an article on my coming out how is that achievable?

multitudinous hugs

I'd suggest you might get some forms anyway, for 'at home'. Be warned, lol,  I started with some B's, then C's. Now I'm thinking of D's For outside, you could look at getting a soft sports / padded / tshirt bra for a little bit of bump and a nice feel without being conspicuous. Even then, the same bra underneath a loose top gives a different profile than it would under a tighter one.

Randi, if you look at the top of the page, you'll see your profile pic, to the left should be your name and then Author. Click on Author and select new article.

Once submitted, it will be reviewed and may be edited prior to publishing.

Please let me know if that helps.

@randia There are a few associated things here.

At the moment, silicone forms are your best bet for acquiring the shape of a female, but they aren't perfect.

For example, breasts sag as a real woman ages, but silicone forms don't mimic this. There are teardrop shapes and triangular forms. Triangular ones tend to be more desirable, but try teardrops, too.

If you watch women with low-cut necklines that expose lots of their breasts, you can see the breasts jiggle in a way the firmer silicone can't mimic. Not that you would want to expose your forms in this way, but water is probably the closest material which will jiggle in the same way. The current silicone makes us look younger, more perky.

Another other part of this is your bra. Because the forms are loose, they can migrate if you don't have a bra with well defined cups. Sports bras don't work well at holding the forms in place. Loose bottom bands or skimpy cups will allow the forms to embarrassingly fall out when you don't expect it, so get full coverage bras, until you experiment more & learn from your mistakes.

There are modern "falsies" made out of fiber material, too. They are very lightweight and have no jiggle at all, but they tend to be in small in sizes and easily available. If someone brushes up against your hard cups, then they will be instantly recognisable. I almost never use mine.

As for not standing out, so to speak, when wearing forms, now you are entering the arena of magic and illusion. If you want to keep the illusion of having breasts but don't want to be blatant about it, you need to experiment.

Keep the form size smaller during warmer weather. Loose sweaters and coats hide what you are doing better than snug fitting shirts tucked in at your waist and, therefore, you can use larger forms during colder weather. Too big forms can't be hidden no matter what you do. Find coloured patterned shirts that obfuscate your shape. The easiest female fashions to find that does this are the black and white vertical striped shirts, especially if you don't tuck them in, or various checked patterns. Horizontal lines will highlight your shape more. Keep striped tops loose so that you don't possibly show off the shape of your bra underneath. Use a mirror, to see what others will get to see. If you do wear something snug or tight, put something loose, such as a sweater or cardigan, over it. And make sure that the cloth is thick enough not to show print-through. A thin, solid & light coloured top over a black bra is a no-no, unless this is what you actually want.

@randia I've recently converted back to silicone forms from a breast plate and find the forms more natural and liberating. Like Becca I too have D size which I find work well with my frame and fit snuggly into a bra and don't tend to fall out. The breast plate I have, which I still occasionally use indoors is a G size and gives me wonderful cleavage but would be far to obvious to wear outside of home.

You have many options depending on how much you want to spend. I have treid several different forms from the ckicken fillets to size D and a few shapes and styles inbetween. We as CDs can have whatever size boobs we want. I currently have two sizes, a smaller B and larger C/D, and wear them deoendi g on my mood and situation. I wear the smaller set out and about under a loose shirt in otherwise drab mode so they are not too noticable, and the larger set when en femme as they are a porportional better fit. I dolike the bigger boobs for wearing around the house. They just feel better and the weight and boince just feels nice.

My advice is to get something a little larger then you migjt think since men have bigger, widee chests we need a litter bigger boob to be pprportional. That side, do not go too big, which is a common mistake IMHO. Most of us like lage boobs, but if too big they quickly lool drag queenish and make us stand out and not blend in. Too small a form and they get lost in our bigger wider chest, and again make us stand out.

On Sunday, my wife and I saw a crossdresser in the wild. She wore a wig and big dark glasses and a dress with wedges on her feet. The striking thing were her legs. They were some of the skinniest legs that I have ever on anybody, male or female. I didn't get a chance in the crowd to see what she did with forms.

I have tried several different forms from the chicken fillets

I thought that chicken breast fillets referred to hip pads.

Note that there are 2 variations of silicone breast forms. There is the gel type which uses a more liquid form of silicone and it is encapsulated in a thin polyurethane skin. The skin has front and back pieces that are heat welded together. It isn’t unusual for the skin to puncture or the weld seam to split. Often this is a “you get what you pay for” situation. Also, many are not sturdy enough to sleep in.

The other variation is a molded and somewhat less soft breast form. While more expensive, there is no skin to rupture and the forms are claimed to have a long life (up to 10 years). You can also wear them when sleeping without consequences.

I have a few pairs of breast forms that I bought on E-Bay and yes I did go the less expensive route but if you take care of them and are careful there good, one pair I have had for a couple years now. I started out with 40D bra with with D forms but didn't fit right then went up a bra size and now I wear 42D with E forms I'm a plus size and for my frame they look great. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI Randi. M & S do some foam breastforms in various sizes at £10 each.

I find they fit nicely in my bra and stay put. One advantage I like is I can easily pop them in or out. That means I can underdress with breastform in public whilst driving or in quite locations and slip them out before going in more public locacations. You can get the breastforms in store or online.      Hope you find what suits you. Enjoy

Jennifer
