Can anyone provide advice on butt/hip padding? While I have been complimented on my male backside all my life, my wife says Riley really needs some extra padding. Ideally, I'd like to find something too add an inch or 2 to my hips and at least an inch or 2 to my posterior. Looked at several items on line but most seem rather thin or lacking (good) reviews. I'd like to find something that I can wear under a bodycom dress or jeans w/o bulges or seams showing. Can any of you lovlies help a girl out and give me some recommendations?
I'm using 2 different products for hip/butt padding.
First one is dresstech silicone hip/butt pads. Being silicone it is heavy, and you'll need to wear something to cinch it to your body (I use tights and shapewear). Once worn, it is smooth with no noticeable lines. I have 2 dresstech hip pads, normal and big girl. I've been using the big girl size since I bought it, as I wanted bigger hips. The butt pad pairs very well with the pads. I wanted to buy a new pair as the edges on my old ones are starting to fray abit. Last I looked they were sold out. When I transform into Wendy, these pads are my go to.
The other is planet peppers foam hip/butt pads. The pads are housed inside a spandex type shorts, and there is a zipper on the shorts so you can remove the padding. I bought the starter pack, which includes 2 inch hip/butt pads, and a pair of boobs. I really wanted the 3 inch hips, but I'm glad I picked the 2. The sizing is absolutely perfect at 2, it gives me the hip/butt I wanted, kinda like a kardashian hip, big. At 3, I think it would have been too big. I wear this once in a while, only reason is because my sizing in between for the shorts. I have the M size, but it cinched my gut in to the point it became uncomfortable after 6-7 hours of wearing. The L size feels good, but a little big on me. Note, because it is foam the padding isn't exactly smooth vs. silicone, so it may look abit bumpy depending on what you're wearing. If you wear a pair of tights, that helps smooth it out alot.
I really like both products, they give me the hip/butt I'm looking for when I transform into Wendy.
I have found there is a lack of enhancers that you are looking for. They all appear to be made in China and most are those that add a little boost for generic women. There are hip and thigh pads that do not give the 'booty' a curve.
Years ago I found a garment that gave a boost to both hips and booty made by an underwear company that saw an opportunity to sell to our community. Alas they no longer trade but I took a look at how the pad was made.
The pad itself was a piece of one inch foam which went from the side of the hips around the cheek tapering to the centre of the back. The edges were tapered to give as natural a shape it could.
I took that idea and tailored a pad for each side and had a cover made. I found that large 'granny knickers' in nylon Lycra held them perfectly all day. I have been wearing them daily and it is the perfect enhancement and pennies to make.
I think there are tutorials online now.
Of the hip treatments that I have bought or used, I like the heavier silicone pads the most, under the right conditions.
Pads either need pocket underwear or a sticky backing. You can't rely on compression from tight underwear to hold the heavy silicone pads in place.
Most pads that I see are the thin fiber pads. They aren't a great shape and I layered 3 sets of them to have some noticeable effect. Bubble effect.
Silicone pads do their job well, but you must control their weight. The only real problem that I found with the silicone pads is their size. They seem to be too small and that leads to odd looking bumps when wearing tight leggings. There is no real issue with these under looser skirts or dresses.
I have one set of sticky-backed foam pads that I haven't used yet and these are much larger covering more of my thighs. I imagine that they look much better than smaller pads.
Some of these pads are quite inexpensive. Experiment with a bunch of different styles, to find what works for you.
Whatever you buy, do your research and spend the money for quality. I have a pair of booty/hip pants from Temu and while comfortable and cute, really don't do much to enhance anything. The bright side is they were under ten dollars, so not a bank buster.
I just bought two pair of padded panties from GB and have tried them on. They don't seem to make a dramatic difference but they seem to help fill out my new stretch jeans, leggings, and capris. The fit feels a little more natural.
This is the first time I've tried enhancing my tush. I began using breast forms quite a while back, but since I wore only dresses and skirts I never saw the need for passing elsewhere. It was only a few years ago that I became interested in ladies' pants. That opened up some new fashion possibilities. I feel as feminine in them as I ever did in dresses and skirts.
Hi Riley, I wrote this response to a similar question a few months ago and since you seem like a do it yourself woman, I'll post it again. I don't wear butt or hip pads but as a costumer I have made many pads as needed for performer's costumes. This is similar to what some of the other folks have mentioned here. For me the easiest and fastest way was always to send the model out to get two pairs of full panties and then cut out pads as needed to fill out the desired final shape. I usually used dense craft foam but have also used memory foam and even layered up different types of foam to get a perfect effect without lines. I would cut the foam with my electric turkey carving knife (very sharp and fast and it cuts fingers and hands just as quickly). Then I'd have the model wear both pairs of briefs over her leotard. Next I'd fit the pads I made between the two briefs until the perfect silhouette was achieved. Then I'd mark around where they were with a pencil or fabric marker and then take everything over to my sewing machine. I'd take the pads out and sew the two briefs together following the lines and leaving a small hole at the top to stuff the pad in later (then you can also sew them shut too if you want). So in effect each model had what can also be purchased commercially but perfectly fitting their body and costume. Sometimes the whole thing was sewn into their costume but most times it was just their own padded panty for stage, model or costume use. It was quick to put on, personal, and no glue needed. Maybe this info will help. Marg
@rileyx Hi, Riley! 🙂
Um...sorry, nothing to add on the padding question, just wanted to say "hi". Lol
I originally tried a combination hip/butt pad girdle from Love My Bubbles - hated it. It felt like I was suiting up with armor every time I put it on.
About a year ago, Unclockable came out with their FEMME Curves Hipwear. They are a breathable mesh short with removable hip pads in pockets - no butt pads. They are comfortable, add a nice curve to your hips and my wife says they also add some roundness to my butt. They come in black and beige - I have bought two black and one beige. You really only need two if you're going to be somewhere long enough that you need to wash the shorts (hand-wash/hang to dry). I bought the second black pair before they started selling the beige ones - that's why I have 3.
They work really well for me and are light enough to wear with pantyhose, tights and even a body shaper.
Much love,
April ❤️
Update and progress...
So, I had ordered pair of enhancer padded underwear off Amazon before posting on here. I was skeptical but thought for $20 it was worth a try. There were several listings and all were very vague in thickness description and deceptive in the photos. They use already enhanced models/mannequins to take product photos so it is hard to tell how much is padding and how much is the model.
The product I purchased was:
KIWI RATA Womens Seamless Butt Lifter Padded Lace Panties Enhancer Underwear
Upon arrival I discovered that the padding was as I had suspected..disappointingly only approximately 1/8 to 3/16" (3 - 5 mm) thick, which really did nothing to add volume to the posterior. The panty part was actually really nice. Very soft and comfortable. I an 5' 6" and about 140 lb. I ordered a size small and found them to be a nice fit. Not too tight but tight enough that they can actually do a decent job at holding a tuck on they're own.
Taking a page from Marg's @margprodue creative playbook, my wife and I got out the craft supplies and got to work. We took the pads out of the pockets to use as a template and traced the outline onto some 1 inch thick upholstery foam. We cut them out to about an 1/8" smaller OD than the template and at as steep of a tapered angle as we could. Once roughed out, I did more trimming to taper some more and get the outside edges as thin as I could. Rei serted both the original pad to the outside and our new DIY pad to the inside and did a test fit. It was a bit too Kim K than I wanted and there was a noticable bump at the top where the but meets the hip. A bit more trimming taking about 1" off the top and tapering all around back about 1-1/2" toward the center. Reinserted and voila! A very passable girl butt at last! Worked very well under jeans, leggings, dress, and skirts. I actually wore it all day Saturday for an entire day of shopping under my size 4 jeans and to a night club Saturday night under a skirt. Very comfortable, I didn't know it was there. And held a tuck w/o anything added.
I still need to work on the hips though. A prototype proved that 1" thick foam was wayyy too much.
I think I will take @aprilrhaynes April's advice and get a pair if the hip pads from unclockable and see if I can combine the two.
I'll try to take and post some before and after photos as soon as I can.
Riley
You Rock! Marg
I have been looking at buying a pair of the unclockable hip pads but wasn't sure how they would go so its heartening to hear good reviews. I have been following there website for many years now and have used there tuck kits which are also available and highly rated by me for wearing those tight body con jeans and slacks
