I got a new pair of jeggings. They're so comfortable that I've taken walks in my neighborhood wearing them. My phone fits in the back pocket, and makes me feel so girly.
Is it just me... do women put their phone in their back pocket more than men? In guy mode, I wouldn't date put my phone in my back pocket.. Lots of silly excuses.
I only put my phone in my back pocket when I am at home. I see lots of girls with them in their back pockets, but I fear the theft, like many others. When out and about in androgynous mode, my phone is hidden away in a side pocket of my handbag/purse.
@lea-jhene From what I witness, younger women do tend to just put it in a back pocket. This, despite the fact that women's pockets tend to be too small to fit a lipstick, let alone an entire smartphone.
I always put mine in a purse/clutch with one exception - I have a cute pair of overall shorts with umpteen useful pockets, notably those right under my nose and in those I'll drop the phone in there - quick, easy access and always in view.
Women's jeans have useless front pockets, so they have no choice but to put it in the back pocket, or purse, where it is less accessible. Let's face it phone need to be handy, especially for the younger generarions. Of course wirh toga pants the pockers are on the thigh, so many carry their phones there. If I wwar long pants, whuch is rare, then it is ladies jeans and the phone is in the back pocket. I like it as a sifnaling device...if my phone is in my backpocket it is becasue I have girly front pockets. I doubt anybody notices, but a perceptice woman jist might.
I see lots of females do this, but no way would I put a phone in a back pocket. My crossover bag or knapsack has a phone pocket, and maybe a deep jacket pocket.
You can also get leggings with thigh phone pockets, now, if you really have to.
Does this phone make my butt look big? LOL....
I'll put my phone in the hip pocket when wearing leggings but for the most part, it's in my purse or coat pocket.
Around the house I have had the issue and I hate the back pocket. Or if I’m wearing a dress. So I just slide it in my bra. I’ve seen a lot women do it and I always thought it was kind of sexy too. If I’m out and about it is in my purse. Love digging for things in my purse even if it takes longer to find, Such a feminine feeling.
My observations come to the same conclusion, yes they do. It is an odd thing but due to the shape of the derriere the pocket is higher so less chance of crushing. Women tend to sit differently on a chair to men and the more generous bottom is also softer which again helps to soften the area for the phone.
Yes, I wear women's jeans all the time and the back pocket is the only place to put the phone unless I'm carrying a bag of some sort which I usually don't. The other problem with the phone in the back pocket is when I lower my jeans to go to the lavatory the phone falls out of the pocket onto the floor, I must ask one of my female friends about this.
When Michelle is dressed fully enfemme, whether in dresses or jeans ,my phone is in my purse.I am convinced that Murphys Law was written for me,"If it can go wrong,it will go wrong",so that is why Michelles phone is in her purse.
I’ve cracked two phones in my life. It was the two times it was in my back pocket and I forgot about it till I sat down on a hard surface. I’ve been thinking about that as I contemplate Keystone. So probably a handbag would be in order.
The good news is that my wife only has about 40 or so that I can choose to borrow. That’s probably the only female item Grace has no urge to buy - just to have her own.😊
Agree with some women jeans might fit a dollar bill but definitely not getting a smart phone in there maybe a flip phone so unfortunately there only option is back packet or I have seen some use there bras
Wow! I've never spent as much energy, thinking about this as you all have. If I'm wearing jeans, whether in Dawn mode or drab. I put my phone in my back hip pocket where, as a guy, I would put my wallet (I keep my phone in a faux leather case along with my ID & credit cards). If I'm wearing a dress or skirt with pockets, I might put in there. But typically, when dressed like that, my phone goes in my purse. Never been concerned with anyone stealing it & I keep phones forever. I probably average 10 years per phone. Never cracked one.
9 out of 10, i would have my phone in my purse. Other times its in my back pocket. particularly if I'm going to need it quickly. Like when waiting for a call back or for a picture. All of my femme jeans are tight enough that i don't really worry about it getting stolen. It does add a little highlight to your backside. LOL
Hi Lea, I'm out and open all the time so usually have a big Coach 9525 bag with everything except a TARDIS inside. That being said, there are times that I really like to travel light so here's my solution and a lost phone can really ruin your day. Harriette said it right when she mentioned leggings with hip pockets. VS has some of these and they have a bigger pocket to the front and hold the phone securely and then you don't have to worry about going fishing at the loo. Also, for my jeans and shorts I cut out the pocket from an older regular pair of jeans and then graft, sew, glue or rivet that pocket to the bottom of the microscopic pocket supplied as original equipment on my skinny jeans and short shorts. Then I just cut the bottom out and I have a magically larger pocket. I usually do that on both sides and put a flat skinny wallet with my ID, $ and credit card on the left side and the phone goes into the right pocket. My butt then looks smooth like a magazine model (woo woo)! The skinny wallet gets lots of use in summer. The super skinny wallet can also be shoved into the hip of my panties if I'm dancing on the floor in a bandage dress. I also have a tiny wrist/belt bag that I use in summer that is just big enough for the phone, $, keys, ID and a card. Since I'm small and go out all the time, I find it helpful to be able to sprint unencumbered if necessary to catch a ride, avoid traffic or make a quick exit from a gas station at 1AM when a dark van rolls in. Hopefully this info will be of some use. Safe Journey, Marg
