I'm just curious as to what your favorite items of intimate female apparel are? I am guessing that many of the younger of you will say pantyhose while some of the older of us might say stockings, garter belts, girdles, and slips because of the changing fashions from the 50's thought the 80's. However, I could be totally wrong and perhaps there will be mentions of panties, nightgowns, lacy bras, body stockings, etc. Why did all those lacy nylon slips ever go out of fashion?
@maureen76 Not necessarily apparel because, in the end, clothing won't last all that long, but I am almost always using padding. Breast forms, butt and hip pads get a lot of run-time. I want the female shape, to fill out my clothes properly, and padding does that.
@maureen76 well for me it's panties and nightys, the girdle was once worn by hired gunfighters as it pulled their girth in and made them a smaller target, however it has always been female underwear and l enjoy wearing them

Yes l remember that movie, it was my father's favourite, that scene with him drunk on his horse was funny.
I become quite attached to my bras because, well, they need to be attached. I need the support my bras provide.

@lizk I understand---I have small "man boobs" and when wearing my bras they do feel very supported
@maureen76 My favorite items are the bras and panties I got at Soma. They are so lacy and make me feel so feminine!
1. Body Suits. I think I enjoy body suits the most, my favorite shape wear pieces are all body suits and I love how they feel, and what they do for my shape. There's something about the lack of a break in the fabric between the panties and the bra that I really love. I have a black shaping body suit that looks lovely under a black lace semi sheer top.
2. Bras. The penultimate feminine item. Without this, the look just doesn't come together
3. I just bought a super soft bralette/panties set that I think will be my new pajamas for a long time
4. silk or satin nightgowns or "full slips"
@raven188 ---Body suits are very nice to wear although you have to be careful about the sizing as women's torsos are usually shorter than men's and I have had problems in the past---and of course bras are the penultimate item of women's clothing to wear---love my bras!!
@maureen76 I'm with you Maureen of the older generation of the 50's thru 70's and my favorite hands down are nylon stockings and garter belts or girdles, corsets, all-in-ones, and full slips. After the under clothes its definitely wigs for a different look with each one

Bras and panties are by far my fovorite and have always been the main focus for me, but I do love adding new femme wear as the years go by.
I will be curious about the younger ladies here likely pantyhose vs stockings. It seems that the younger generations don't wear either veey often these days.
Me, I love stockings either as hold ups or with a garter belt. Matching bra, panties and garters drive me wild.
@lyndajones don't forget the stockings---my favorite is when they are attached to the garter belt ----there is just something very sexy about that
@jjandme As I have said many times, if only the younger women would just try ONCE wearing true nylon stocking and garters and pulling that sensual indescribable taunt tug on their legs, they would never go back to those sausage stuffing, unhygienic confining pantyhose or the dreaded bare legged look that shows white pasty legs with every nick, sore, follicle and blemish.
Yes, I love stockings attached to garter belts as well and they are so much easier to put on---also with pantyhose, if you get a run in one leg you have to throw the pantyhose away where as with stockings, you can simply switch out one stocking for another---
When it comes to intimate female apparel, it is always difficult for me to select which is my favorite. I love it all! Each piece seems to hold something special for me, a special feeling, a special memory, or just the special beauty of each individual piece.
I love being a girl, and after I have prepared by body for the special day, the first items to go on are my intimate female apparel. Don't laugh, maybe even you've experience the feelings, but even after decades of cross dressing, the feel of putting on the bra, the stockings, the panties, etc. can cause me to quiver sometimes, even get a knot in my stomach. I am about to become a girl again!

good answer Peggy----it is difficult to decide since every item has something special about it---and is thrilling to wear---- I think we have all experienced the quivering you mention and enjoy becoming a girl
Easy answer is all of it. There is a feeling that I get when I slip on a pair of panties, clip my bra and slip my arms thru the straps, pulling a pair of pantyhose or stockings up my legs, attaching stockings to garters - all make me feel so femme and transport me to a different place. I become more relaxed when wearing them. I think part of it is the feeling the softness of the material gives me, the feeling of getting a hug as the bra band wraps around my chest, the sensuousness of the nylon squeezing on my legs. It allows me to connect to a part of me that has been hidden for a long time.

For me it is definitely the bra and forms. I am a breast man and I guess a breast girl. I love the look and bounce when wearing them.
@dianas1960 breast forms are a delight--- I have small man boobs myself and very sensitive nipples and often fantasize about having breasts---so I like your comments about being a "breast man/girl"----for now my breast forms will have to do
Flouncy, summery tops, calf-length skirts, and white trainers is my current favourite go-to outfit. I don't often wear hosiery unless going out at night when I use tights (pantyhose) and shapewear to hold my hip forms in. Also nights out, I'll generally wear a dress and ankle boots. I have a selection of wigs but can't really name a favourite. Under wear is merely a necessity and I get nothing special from it except that it has to be feminine; I have no male underwear at all anymore. I use an under-wired bra to hold D breast forms in and my current favourite is in purple.
It's more about the look that other people see, rather than what I feel about my clothes, I like to try to pass and that's the most important thing for me.

I don't get so much out of lingerie, as the dresses that I put on over the top of it.
The lingerie can be as sexy as it likes, but it's still either holding in fake boobs, or sitting under or over two pairs of shorts that fake the shapes of my hips and bum.
Dresses on the other had are wonderful garments. Possibly the only one where the length, design, colour, pattern, texture, and structure of the piece all have not only to come together in themselves, but also to work with the contours of the body that they cover. Each one has its individual character when I'm wearing it, and they all give me a different mood and feelings.
@finallyfiona that's a great answer and a unique way to looks at it---although it makes perfect sense---women have so much choice in dresses and such a variety of styles, fabrics, and colors---and each dress can be so different---this is very much different that men's clothing
I love two items the most. First are my shoes, from flats to heels, I do love them so. But most of all are my nightgowns. Nothing cotton for this girl! I have 6 that I rotate through the week. Each is different in color, type, and length, with or without lace trim. From a baby doll to below the knee and all satin. Smooth and silky against the skin. It helps to remind me at night who I really am!
@lisa55 I know what you mean--- I sleep every night in a nightgown and have for years---it is one of the nice things about being a woman---although mine are usually nylon but I do have satin ones as well
If I have to narrow it down to undergarments it’s definitely panties and bras for me! I do have a couple corsets that I LOVE also.
@ashleigh I love corsets and the feeling of being laced in---the only downside is the time it takes to get ready --- but then the reduction is heavenly and you can get a much more feminine shape
Very difficult to choose. Perhaps it's cheating if I say stockings because with stockings a girdle or suspender belt is essential so I get both!
no Paula--not cheating---stockings must be held up---and can be held up with either---I often have a hard time deciding which to use---
While I have to say a bra, there is nothing quiye so sensual as slipping on stockings over freshly shaved/waxed and moisturized legs. Another thing I love about stockings is they look as sexy on male legs as they do on female legs. As much as I lovr to wear and see myself in a bra, it never looks quite right on my body...and yet look so amazing on a shapely fenale body.
yes, a bra is so unique to a woman that there is something so incredibly feminine about it---I prefer underwire to push my breasts up and full lace cups --- with a B cup I can just about fill them up or at least imagine and hope I do---LOL---
