Hello girlies, it’s been a long time since I’ve been active but I miss you all xoxo. Lately I’ve been wanting to drop a couple sizes (6’ 220 now, goal is 190-200) and was just hoping to find a group to support and encourage each other on diet/excercise plans along the way if anyone else is in a similar spot. If anyone is interested please reach out, if this isn’t the right forum I’m so sorry, let me know which would be more appropriate. Hugz,

Aubrey

Hi Aubrey. I am interested. During the last year I have been executing a plan to lose weight and I have already reduced one size. I need to continue and I would like the mutual support and encouragement. My spirit is way younger than my body.

Cinnamon kisses,

Gisela.

Hi Aubrey,  Hope this takes off, I can always use some help and encouragement for diet and exercise. I am 6'4" so tall like you, I started limiting calories using myfitnesspal app in January(2018) to less than 1500/day. And walking at least 4 miles per day using mapmywalk app (both are free apps)  And doing fem exercises (squats, bridges, leg lifts, crunches, etc)  So far I have lost 36 pounds in 2018 and feeling good about going into the summer months.  Would love for all of us to get excited about being fit and healthy.

Good for you Aubrey, congratulations on the loss. I too have started reducing calories, not eating empty calories and focusing on healthy foods. Started exactly 3 weeks ago and have dropped 16 pounds. The first week was the hardest but now it is easier to not indulge in foods that hurt the body. Take care and be sweet!

Hi Aubrey,
Diets are ok if you stick to them forever. It's almost like a person quitting cigarettes. If you start it again, you may as not even try. We have to make up our minds and stick to it.
I'd love to be in a group but I think each of us have a slightly different problem or need. It would be nice if we had a good dietitian in the group.
The first step we all need to learn.. is not eat so much. Drink lots of water to stay full.

Hello Aubrey and congrats on getting started. I have spent the last several years working at it and have lost a total of 45lbs. The key thing was as many have said cutting back portions. I started by eliminating appetizers and desserts and then over time rolled back the amount durring meals. Now I have control over the amount I eat.  My portions bit didn’t happen over night. I dont eat after 6pm and try to do some type of cardio workout regularly. I have reached several plateus along the way but kept with it.

Good luck to everyone!

🍷C

To be honest: all I need is support and encouragement. I already follow a food and exercise plan, designed by a professional dietitian. And it is working profitably. I had lost about seventy five pounds in the last year. All I need is keep going on it. The secret is to eat healthy and never give up when you stumble over old habits.

Hi....Since January, I have been exercising and going to a personal trainer.  In addition, I have been on the DASH program which is a sort of diet for folks w/high blood pressure.

I have been shocked at the changes that have happened, and recommend everyone to research this.  It is Doctor recommended, and it works. 🙂  I have had my meds cut in half, lost over 40 lbs, and look forward to going to the gym each day...(maybe it's because I like leggings and sport bras too...lol). 🙂

Oh, drink a LOT of water...that is a key....
