Hi all,

I have gotten a gift card to amazon and want to get my first bra. I have taken my measurements of 44 band and 47 bust but do not know where to go from here.

I am looking for something that can be hidden under a t-shirt and is a good first step.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hello. I’ve gotten glamorise bras from Amazon as my first bra. They are padded and will give an illusion of having breasts underneath clothes. If you don’t want padded ones get bralettes at Walmart.

Hi darling
Search for style of bra.
Good you have measured. I wear a c form in my b cup bras. It gives me the most amazing feeling and bust when dressed. Hope this helps.
I love mainly nice lace bra mainly black or white.

Hi Andi if you  don't want  your bra showing under a white T Shirt then purchase  a Nude / Beige color bra otherwise any other color will show through your T shirt.

Andi,

Bra size is a minefield. Each brand is slightly different, and moving up a band size also usually means a different cup size. In the end you need to find a brand and style you like and one that fits, then mostly stick with that.

There are loads of YouTube clips on how to fit a bra, also for CDs, check those out!

T-shirt bra, or a full cover cup may be a good shape to start with as well.

Thanks, SR

Wasn't so much a bra as when I first started this journey I was so into corselettes and corsets as I love the feel of them and the control it gives my figure and until I've got my figure how I want it, I won't be buying any bras or knickers til then xx

As Simone noted, bra sizing is a minefield; changing brands, or even style will affect how they fit. For a first bra, I strongly recommend going in for a fitting. The idea may be scary, but the result is worth it, and it's a step forward in affirming your femme side. The ladies at Dillard, VS, Torrid (among others) are all friendly and non-judgemental.
I had my fitting at Dillard's (after several failures to find the right bra), and I'm glad I did.

Hugs,
Bettylou.

If I was to wear a t-shirt I'm usually around a 38 or large so I've found that being a 42b in bra size it looks just right on me. So quite lucky that I managed to get it right but it took my tries though xx

My first bra that I purchased was a Romance Underwire 38B.  When I first got it was almost a joke as I had to pad it quite a bit.  Now I fit snugly in it.  Herbals have worked for me. 🙂

As the ladies mentioned, bra buying is a minefield and getting measured by someone skilled in lingerie first is a very good idea. I smartly did that and it has cut down on some of the headache. My suggestion, and I hope the other ladies agree is find one brand that you like the best (Just My Size, Hanes for example) and stick with them. The bigger brand names have alot of options for bras and you won't have to worry about figuring out what size to get for each different bra as much. To be honest I had to actually cut myself out of a bra I bought online even though the measurements lined up with what my measurements are. It was under $10 so it was not expensive but it was $10 that could have gone toward a better size bra or an entirely different item. Just keep in mind that you will every now and then choose the wrong size bra. The goal is to keep those bad picks to an absolute minimum.

Kisses...
