I have been out a s Martha to coffee shops, tea rooms, movies and libraries.

I will be going out for the first time to shop for some news skirts, dresses and so forth.

I have been accepted as a woman when I go out ( passable and attractive)

But this is the first time to purchase clothing.

If you ladies don't mind, please provide a few tips.

I feel so very nervous!

Thanks.

Marth...Hi!  Since you have successfully passed in other locales......you should not have any trouble shopping!  My advice....just act like a lady, be friendly with the sales staff, if needed...and look confident.  Have a great time!

Martha, shopping to me is easier than other things.  People are focused on their own shopping and not paying as much attention.  Mall common areas are an exception.  People do sit and just people watch.  Bu honestly those people aren't going to bother anyone.  I went Black Friday shopping at Tyson's Corner Mall and got not hassle whatsoever.  The place was like a giant mosh pit and I was shaking at first, but I took a deep breath, let it out slowly and strutted in like it was my mall.

I have only gone grocery shopping. The experience is related in a main page feature that was published in July.  Check out my profile under articles if you want the full details. Essentially though, I was probably my own worst enemy in the experience. No one said anything positive or negative in my direction besides the usual friendly greetings. As for clothes, I usually shop in my masculine persona. I openly request fitting rooms and no salesperson has ever had a problem. As Cloe said, our money is as good as the next person.

I went to a ladies shop to get some new skirts. The salesgirl was very attentive and nhelped me find what I wanted.

She was very nice to me and treated as a lady.

The transaction went well and no, one else in the shop knew that I was not a lady since. I make a very passable woman both in looks and mannerisms.

All that worry for nothing.

Thanks ladies for your advise.
