Just found something today that I thought might be helpful to some including myself ( if I can ever find the right shade to start with). Its a site called findation.com . Its set up to help you find a matching shade in other brands without the guess work that goes with multiple different companies and their system for naming and numbering. It includes ones that have been discontinued so maybe it can help you ladies find replacements when you run out or have no further option in the line you might have been using. Anyway hope it can help somebody find something they need at some point and just wanted to share.

Thanks for the information, Amelia.  It's very helpful since the foundation that I currently use has been discontinued.

Another example of girls helping girls on CDH. 💋 Love it! Thanks, Amelia.

URL bookmarked.

That is a really good site, not only does it give you a few suggestions as replacement, it looks like it finds all suitable replacements, from budget to the expensive stuff, so you can pick what you like as a replacement.

Found out my fave concealer, Hard Candy, has been discontinued.  Will have to go thru the replacement list to see what I can find as a substitute.

Thanks for this post! I have been wondering how to find a more affordable foundation without having to try others.

This looks useful - I am guilty of falling in love with the first foundation I tried, and sticking with it, no matter the state of my suntan!!

It's not realistic to have a foundation for every shade you go to in summer and fade back to in winter, but it seems sensible to get a selection.

I do have a lighter shade, but tend to use it for aggressive contouring when going out, or a 1920s look, as it's really pale.

A matching solution looks just the ticket!

The foundation of success!!

And the beginning of the mask of makeup indeed. The smudgery fakery of the smokey eye, the false promise of the enlarged and luscious lips, the forbidden come ons from the fronds of fake eyelashes that festoon our faces, and the promised modesty proposed by the beautiful blush are just a real-world manifestation of Faceapp, changing the appearance, even the very shape of the face you grew into...

I'm so glad it all exists!!!

😁😁😁😍😍😍😎😊😋

Hi Steph

When the moment takes me, I do like to wax lyrical - so don't start me off on Brazilians - alliterating aimlessly save the semblance in consonants.

I have a love/hate relationship with fake lashes - love the looks, hate putting them on - I seem to recall reading about your struggles with the fiendish caterpillars and their tendency to resist glue, twist into the wrong position and generally misbehave - the saucy sausages!

I do, of course have a Die Hard approach, but it will be a Miracle on 34th Street if I can get the Twins lined up.

Of course, if they're long enough, you could use them to brush 2poos down after his ablutions...

Love Laura
