When I cross dress, I do it just for the day. returning to my male self at the end of the day. Thus I always used a nice but cap wing. Easy to put on and easy to take off. I've always want that natural hair line which you really can have with a cap wig, so I recently bought two lace front wigs and a water base glue for wings. The thing is that I've always do my face completely before putting on my wing, but I'm not sure if I can do that with a lace wing. Do you have to apply the glue directly to the skin, or can it be apply and still hold over makeup? Mine you, I have no intention of wearing the wig for several days as you apparently can do once the wig is glued on.

I put my lace front wig on first, before makeup and glue it. Then I can apply makeup and blend over the lace front. Its also really fun to makeup with the wig as it makes me feel much more feminine as I dress, though with my long wig I have to tie it back.

As Sophie said, you would first glue it in place and then do your makeup.
But check first... if you adjust it well, you may not need to even have to glue it, as the lace section will be fitting against your skin. (Hope that made sense!) Try it first, and unless it ends up having gaps between the lace and the skin, you may be ok without glue.
