Hey ladies! So I wanted to share something I’ve been experimenting with lately: hair extensions!
This morning, my cousin (the only family member who knows about Mia in real life besides my girlfriend) came over and helped me put them in. She's incredibly supportive, and it felt so special to share that moment with her.
I've been trying extensions out for a little while now, and while I love the look and the confidence boost, I’ve also heard mixed things about them — especially regarding damage to natural hair, maintenance, and how comfortable (or not) they are to wear regularly.
So now I’m curious:
What’s your experience with extensions?
Any favorite types or brands (clip-in, tape-in, keratin, halo, etc.)?
Have they affected your hair or scalp in any way?
And is it something you'd recommend for more regular use, or just special occasions?

And lately I’ve been experimenting with extensions—my cousin actually helped me put them in the other day! Still figuring out if they’re worth the effort, but it’s been fun trying something new and a bit glam!
@mialanieri Don't worry. I am a huge fan of experimentation, but extentions on me would just look weird.
Haha, fair point, Cheryl! 😄 I guess I’m lucky to have just enough to play with—though honestly, extensions feel like a whole other world of patience and clips! But hey, whether it's extensions, wigs, or just rocking our natural beauty, there's always a way to feel fabulous, right?
My hair is long enough that I don't really need extensions. But my hair is thin with each hair overall being very fine. When I started, and when I go out to the beach where a wig isn't practical, I use clip-on bangs (sometimes called fringes) to cover my forehead which is very masculine looking. Other than that, I have not used any extensions.

I totally get the practicality of clip-on bangs—what a smart solution for the beach and for softening the forehead! I’ve just started playing with extensions myself, more out of curiosity and fun than necessity. My hair is somewhat long too, but it's not super thick, so I wanted to see what a bit of extra volume could do. Still figuring out if they’re really worth it for me, but it’s been a fun experiment so far! 😊
