Good Evening Ladies,
As the title implies, I am about to enter a new realm (for me) in my CD'ing. I was in the beauty industry for 6 years (The wholesale end) and I do know the value of a good skin care regimen.
I am finally on my own now and would like any and all help/advice you may be able to give me regarding makeup. I had chronic acne from age 10 to 21 and still have a lot of scars. Lately, I've gotten pretty adept at applying a little foundation to even out my skin tone. I have learned that a little goes a long way! lol
I guess what it boils down to is that I don't want to leave the house, some day, looking like a 62 Y/O guy in drag.
I have a very open mind and as you can tell, not afraid to ask for help. I found out a long time ago that if you don't know about something, surround yourself with people who do!
TIA I really appreciate it.
Best Regards,
Jasmine

Ladies
Please note that this was initially a ‘Dear GG’ post and only GG’s or the originator could post here.

However - I have moved this to a more general area for everyone to contribute to as I expect we will all have something very supportive to say !
Thank you

Hi Jasmine. What comes to mind is to say that if you wait for perfection you may never leave the house. So I would encourage you to take small steps now. My experience is that the more I am out and about the more I learn about myself and the better I get at my presentation.

- Robyn

Thanks Robyn, I took that advice to heart! If I may be so bold, you are a beautiful woman! Just had to say that. 🙂
Regards,
Jasmine

HI Tara, I really hear what you're saying, I really do. But I am so scared and not confident enough to go out yet. I want to start small but don't know how. I also need to start picking up "everyday" clothes for Jasmine. And there again, I don't know what to get. I'm thinking maybe girl jeans and a nice tunic? I also have some comfy, cotton leggins (black) that would look good with just about any color top.
This fear of going out as Jasmine is equal or worse than the fear I had when my baby girl was born. So please be patient with me. I am in total awe of you ladies who are confident enough to live a CD'ing life outside your house.
Take care and thanks again,
Jasmine
