Ok ladies with hooded eyes what are some things I can do to unhood, or make the illusion of unhooding my eyes?

Hi Ellie,

Not sure if you have ever had the chance to watch Wayne Goss on YouTube. If I remember right he had a technique for hooded eyes.  It maybe helpful.

Hugs,

Michelle

Hi Ellie, some tips i would give, as i too have the dreaded hooded eyes, are as follows.....

1. apply your eyeshadow above the crease line, this gives the effect of more colour when the eyes are open.

2. lengthen your eyeshadow to the side of your eye (the ear side) to give a sort of winged look.

3. never highlight the brow bone

4. try to keep to matte shades if you can to draw more attention to detail rather than volume.

5. go for the smokey eye look (google it)!!

Avoid thick eyeliner.  Ideally apply it directly along the lash line and not above.  If you are feeling brave you could check out tightlining, but take heed of safety warnings.

Oh, and if you currently use eyeliner on the lower lid, then try it without.
