My only two excursions fully in femme clothing so far were back in the warmer weather and I wore a pair of the wife's sandals as I was able to fit in these whilst my feet are too big for her shoes . In readiness for the possibility of a few days home alone time I am trying to prepare. I have already purchased a padded coat and a cardigan to be able to keep warm in the colder weather and the last item to sort is footware. Whilst I will be getting a pair of ballet flats I was also considering a pair of 2in block heel shoes and was wondering how difficult it will be to walk in these the first few times as there will probably be virtually no opportunity to practice walking in them before doing it for real.

2 inch should be no problem, provided they fit OK. If they are too loose and have no ankle strap then you might find your heels popping out. You can get little sticky pads to help stop that happening.
Due to the new angle of your feet you may find a tendency to make the front and back of the shoe hit the ground at the same time. Try to place the heel down before the toes to avoid a clumpy walk! If you can spend 5 minutes walking around a room in them then you will soon iron out any problems. And don't rush, smaller steps are best.
Good luck!
Hi Rachel
Two inch block heels should present no significant problem. The hard bit is walking like a women, they don’t have the family jewels, so walk with a narrower gait.Recommend you tuck them out the way to make it easier to walk like you don’t have them. Nothing worse than walking like you just got off a horse while in heels. And with stilettos you are constantly trying to avoid, cracks in the pavement, drain covers, grass etc etc, so block heels are perfect to start. Good luck.

Good to practice in lower heels first, then graduate to the big stuff!
It's fun and sexy!
2-3" are perfect and make you feel so feminine!
A little practise is all it takes before you never want to take them off!!!

Hi Rachel,
My first pair of shoes were a pair of Pleaser 2" Black pumps, it took me a few times to get the hang of it. I agree with Jasmin, small steps, and heel first then toe. It will feel a bit odd but you can do it. I have a pair of 3.5" block heeled boots now and glad I started with the 2"
Hugs,
