Hi I'm new here and although a long time cross dresser, I hadn't dressed fully or applied makeup for some time. I was tired of my profile pic being an avatar so decided I had to practice my makeup before posting one. My first two attempts were pretty horrible, and I especially had problems with my eyebrows. On the third attempt, I saw enough of an improvement to impatiently use a pic for my profile. Now, I want to practice more and more to keep improving on my look as much as I can for a 70 year old. It feels addictive. Do any other girls experience this?
Hi Maureen.. you did a great job!
In my almost 2 years of going out in public quite regularly, i have become fairly comfortable with makeup for my look. I would not say i am addicted, but i do enjoy doing it, especially the final touches when that cute girl looks back in the mirror. All that practice, watching some videos paid off for me. For me, nice lashes & eyeliner are quite transformative.
Once in a while, i treat myself to some glam in a salon with a makeup artist.. such a nice experience and i pay attention.. learn a lot.

Dear Maureen,
You want to throw passes like Tom Brady? YOU PRACTICE.
You want to hit baseballs like Ted Williams? YOU PRACTICE.
You want to make baskets like Michael Jordan? YOU PRACTICE.
You want to look like Elizabeth Taylor....
ASPIRE to GO HIGHER!
But remember, was it an addiction for them or was it FUN? Was it ENJOYING what they loved doing.
Sincerely and With Love.

,Maureen -
I don't get to do make up very often, although I do use lipstick everyday. I do love using it when I get the chance though. Practice, practice, practice is the most important part. I have false eyelashes my wife gave me but haven't had the opportunity to use them yet (I'm afraid I won't be able to get them off once I get them glued on - guess I won't know util I do). My wife helps me clean up the look when I'm done and says I'm getting better. The hardest part for me is the eyes - liner and shadow, mascara isn't much of an issue though.
Good luck with your make up skills and in my opinion it is addictive.
XOXO

Hi Maureen
I think from your photo you are doing a pretty good job of your makeup already and yes it is totally addictive. For me it has become a mandatory part of every time I dress as Olivia. I agree with the other girls that all it takes is practice but for me YouTube was my greatest friend. I would look up makeup videos on individual things like eyebrows, eyes, using bronzer and using blush as well as tips on makeup for the mature woman. A big difference in my case was learning about contouring to make my nose look thinner and to shape my jaw line. The wonderful thing is the options of what you can do is endless.
Yes, makeup can be addicting ! That sounds like such a bad description for doing something fun and enjoyable. Check out YouTube videos, they helped me a lot !
