Grace's thread made me decide to give it a try. My wife had been talking about going to get a pedi, and so I asked if I could go with her and we both get one. We had our appointment today. I now have lovely new color on my toes. A nice deep royal blue with big flakes right out of the 60s and 70s. Of course I went as Mr Drabs wearing my desert camo pants since they roll up to the knees easily. But I'm wearing a lacey pair of panties that match the toe nails in color, and a sports bra under my drabs. Y'all sure are right about the Asian ladies running the nail salons.

I really love the sound of the colour too! One of the options I had in mind for my finger nails, but who says I can't have matching toes?! Hehe

Great fun. I love the pampering. And the choice of colors. I alternate between dark and bright colors.. shiny and matt.
Alas my once elegant painted toe nails are a thing of the past. I had an ingrowing big toe nail removed and it has grown back like a giant wart. I have it ground down by the foot lady regularly but it is sooo ugly.
I have to admit that painted toes made me feel that little bit more sassy.

Started having pedicures years ago without polish and still do but now considering polish. Probably go with a shiny nude color since I wear sandals a lot when in drab.
For those who have never had one the foot massage alone is worth the price. 👍🏻💖
I too am also looking at getting my first pedi. I have a beauty salon less than 10 minutes walk from my house where I went for a couple of years having back massages to ‘fix’ a frozen shoulder so I know the people there. Obviously they are currently closed for the foreseeable future due to COVID restrictions but expecting/hoping to re-open maybe late March or early April. Been on the website to get an idea of treatments (wanting a mani at the same time) and prices as this is all very new to me so no idea what to expect to pay. I’ve been Googling around to try to find if they are CD/TG friendly, but no information is available so thinking I will e-mail them and enquire.
I’m very excited though. I’d love to get a colour (your choice sounds really nice) but probably a step too far for me just now but we’ll see what happens between now and then.
An hour’s pampering would be so femme and I would love it.
I'm not sure if the one I went to is tg/cd friendly or not as I was in drab, but I did shave my legs that morning, and was wearing hoop earrings. Otoh, I was also there with my wife, so... they may have been confused. They talk among themselves in whatever language that was, likely Vietnamese.

I have some bad news; once you have had your first pedi, you can't stop. Not only is your feet smooth and well groomed after, if you choose colour that is like the icing on top.
I remember my first pedi with my wife, I was very reluctant (I wanted to go badly but I was also afraid of people staring and jeering). After that first visit, none of my concerns ever came to light.
Last summer I even took the plunge and had them colour my nails, it was heavenly ! This summer I may do the same thing.
If any of you have a chance to try fish pedis, go for it. The outcome is way smoother heels than using razor. If you are ticklish, be warned as the fish really tickles something fierce.
I just had my first pedi yesterday on the fiancé's suggestion and it was pretty awesome.
I didn't get my toes painted because I'm chicken. However the gal doing my pedi did notice my polish that I hadn't got all of it off and asked me what color I wanted. I was a little embarrassed and just didn't reply to the question. I now wish I had just said sparkly blue like I wanted to. Oh well there will be more times in the future to get them painted.
I do suggest having a pedicure just for overall foot health whether you get them painted or not. It's just a really relaxing experience and OMG your feet will feel wonderful afterwards.

Make comment but one of the others walked by and did a triple take looking at my legs. She was doing a guy with very hairy legs. I'm guessing she was thinking "I wish I would have got that guy with the shaved legs so I wouldn't have to rub on all this hair!" LOL
