Okay, you have your supplies, you’re wearing your lovely intimates and have covered them with an old top to keep the intimates free of make up over blow. You are ready for the next step. Well, if you are not a wig wearer, proceed to My Make Up Routine - Part 2b, False Eyelashes.
I am a wig wearer because a certain area is very folliclely challenged. In my view, women look better with hair than they do without hair (maybe Annie Lennox is an exception, Sinead O’Conner a perfect example).
What I want to do in this part is to raise my brow in an effort to soften its appearance. I get my roll of medical, first aid tape and cut off a strip about 7 inches long. One end gets attached to my forehead, about an inch or so above my eye brow. I then raise my eye brow and pull the tape tightly over the back of my head, sticking it down. This makes my natural brow seem higher and relieves some of my caveman, sunken eye male appearance. The result is a more feminine, softer look IMHO.
Maybe there are some wig wearers that are blessed with a full head of natural hair. In that case, I would recommend a skull cap or wig cap that you would wear for the purpose of attaching the tape. I have experimented with pulling the tape straight back or crossing it over to the opposite side of my head, which seems to work best. I have also tried two pieces of tape per brow. It was nice, too, because it pulled even more of the brow higher.
I consider this step kind of optional. If your head sweats a lot, the tape will eventually come loose. If your wig does not cover much of your forehead, you are limited as to how close you can get to your brow making an effective lift less likely. Or maybe you just don’t like having tape on your head.
This is something that you should probably experiment with. See if it makes a real, noticeable difference for you. I think it is worth a try. I truly believe that it softens my look and I use this technique when I am getting pretty.
And remember, of course, whatever you do, repeat it for your other brow.
Now that we’ve softened our brow, we can join the others on My Make Up Routine - Part 2b, False Eyelashes.

Tape is definitely a plus for us older folks. I like the secret lift product available on Amazon that comes with tape and cords. I use them for brows jowls and neck.
