We are getting close to being fully made up. It’s time to apply some eye make up.
First thing that has to be accomplished is to add some eyebrows to your now gorgeous face. I use an eye brow stencil to make eyebrows. The stencil I purchased was actually a set of stencils so you could choose the eye brow shape from the number of stencils in the kit. It also included some eyebrow colored powder to use to create your eye brows.
I place the stencil so that the inner ends are directly over the inner ends of my natural brows and secure the stencil to my head with an elastic cord. I use the tool provided to pick up the eyebrow color of choice from the selections available and apply it within the outline of the stencil. I do this for both eyes. I remove the stencil and, like magic, I have feminine shaped, painted-on eyebrows. You will need to experiment to find the eyebrow shape and color that is most pleasing for you. On to the eye shadow.
I know only one way to apply eye shadow. Like all the other things that I have documented do far, I taught myself how to do these things. I have only been happy with the look I will share with you momentarily. I do not know how to do any other eye look. No smoky eyes (although I think smoky eyes would make me very happy) or any other eye make up styles. I also do not use eyeliner because I am still trying to perfect that type of style, also. I am giving you the best that I can do presently.
Colors: You should choose a color palette that compliments your eye color or your contact lens color, if you choose some other color lenses. To choose the shades of the palette that best compliments your eyes, use the color wheel (you can use Google to access a color wheel). The color of your eye make up colors should be based on what color is exactly opposite from your eye color. Take me, for instance. My eyes are blue. Looking at a color wheel, I see the color opposite blue on the color wheel is orange. Now I know that I should only consider an eye color palette containing the colors orange, light brown, dark brown, etc. Beyond that, I cannot tell you what specific color palette to buy. That’s your decision. You need to do some trial runs with a few different color palettes until you find one that you feel comfortable with.
Before we continue, I have to set some boundaries. Imagine a shape whose outline starts at the outside corner of your eye, extends across the upper lash line to the inside corner of your eye, then straight up to your eyebrow, extends back across the eyebrow to the outside end of your eyebrow, then straight down to where it all began, the outside corner of your eye. Can you picture that shape, that region of your eyelid up to your eyebrow? Good. Let’s keep that picture in mind as we apply color to our eyelids.
First, using the largest eye make up brush, apply the lightest color in your eye make up palette to the inside region of the shape we still have in our minds. This color should completely fill in the shape and go no further. Do not extend the applied color anywhere except the inside of the region imagined. Do this to both eyes.
When that is complete, use the next biggest eye make up brush to apply a color a shade or two darker than the first shade to the lower, outside of the shape still in our minds. In case you have forgotten the shape, I can state it another way. Apply a color a shade or two darker than the lightest color you applied in the previous step to your eyelid but only covering a region approximately one quarter the size of the region colored in the previous step. This color should be applied in the region bounded by the shape that is as follows: Starting again at the outside corner of your eye, follow your eye lash line to half way across your eye lid. Go straight up to your eye crease, back across your eye crease and finally back down to the outside corner of your eye. Once you have applied the proper color to this region on both eyes, we can proceed. Using an even smaller eye make up brush, apply a color a shade or two darker than the previous shade to the area just above the outside corner of your eye. Do this to both eyes. Lastly, using the small eye make up brush with straight aligned bristles, apply one of the very darkest shades in your color palette in a V shape at the outside corner of your eye. One side of the V will be the on your upper eyelid, the other side on your lower eyelid and the vertex at the outside corner of your eye.
BOOM.Dazzling eyes! What do you think? Are you going to have to carry a baseball bat with you when you go out to beat the fellas off you? Only two brief steps and then my work here is done.
