In a desperate attempt to extend the life of painted fingernails nails (of which I can only go about 2 days before they begin chipping and looking all too sad) I resorted to using a pair of heavy duty nitrate gloves for handling chemicals while having a shower and epilating this evening.
Apparently nails absorb 100-1000X (I read it on the Internet so it must be true!) their percentage of moisture which causes incredible amounts of expansion and contraction thereby invalidating all the time and effort it took to make them beautiful in the first place.
I do moisturize them, use a base coat/top coat but still my fingernails wear so much faster than the toenails, which even weeks later still look alright, as long as I haven’t walked into a chair leg (or brick) while barefoot!
What is something unorthodox you’ve done for the sake of beauty and fashion that’s resulted in success or a least a chuckle?
About a week ago, I was epilating the hairs on on chest and the epilator garbbed my boob! Ouch!!! I can laugh now, but had tears in my eyes when it happened.

I know that pain well (as well as some lower ‘areas’ that I’ll leave to the imagination) 😬

I like to use temporary tattoos...I had one on my chest just above my left boob. I came out of the shower, dried off and decided to remove the tattoo. I put some nail polish remover on a cotton wool ball and started to rub the tattoo. The nail polish remover ran down my chest and onto " the boys "...
OMG....I swear i didn't even KNOW I could breakdance...the pain!!!!...
