A few months ago I watched a CD video on Youtube where she said she used a peelable base coat on her fingernails as a way to speed up polish removal on those nights where she was dressing for only a few hours. I filed that in my brain for future reference and last week I ordered and received two bottles of Sally Hansen Big Peel Off base coat.
Monday I painted my toe nails a very nice shiny pink and decided to test the peelable base coat on one of my fingernails. I chose my wedding ring finger. The bottle said to apply a thick coat, but a thick coat was looking smooth so I wiped it off and started over. I put a thinner coat, as thick as i could without waves, and allowed it to dry. The product goes on white but dries completely clear with a matt finish. I then applied the same shiny pink to that nail.
I went about my business, my wife didn't seem to notice as she was having a busy evening. About 5 hours later i peeled it off just before bed. In about 30-45 seconds my nail was completely clean without the use of nail polish remover.
I'm giving it 5 stars.

Hi Autumn, I remember that video; it used a base coat, polish and a top coat for great-looking nails which can be quickly removed when needed. The base coat improves appearance, even if you don't need the fast removal option.
