No colour has such feminine power. I know for a lot of cross dressers wearing as much pink as possible is a huge part of expression, but it’s never been big for me.
However as I am seeing how important it is to one day let my feminine side out I am trying to incorporate it more into my masculine wardrobe.
Curious to hear the nuances of how others feel about the colour and what role it plays in both genders.
Colours are such an important part of the difference between what are traditionally male black/blue/grey/beige drab clothes and the rainbow that opens to our feminine side.
I have noticed that things are starting to change, in the UK anyway. Male clothes are increasingly coming in pink options, and I am embracing this. Think it is no longer ‘gay’ looking but now just an outward sign of the times, an equalisation of the differences between what men and women traditionally wear, and I love it. I am also caring less and less what others think, if I think I look good in a pink shirt, I feel good inside, if others have a problem with it, it is their problem, not mine.
I am liking my old drab wardrobe less and less, gradually colouring it up a bit. Have had only compliments so far.
love
Bianca
Pink also has some very weird and specific connotations where I come from as well - not as much on the US as a whole, but on the East Coast amongst the moneyed wearing bright colours and other loud "feminine" patterns can be very macho and a status symbol. This is discussed somewhat in my favourite novel 'American Pastoral,' a book's which setting is pretty much precisely where I grew up. Perhaps this has been a part, but I feel like some of us of desired being a girl for the pink alone while I've been more of the belief I wouldn't wear much more pink had I been born female.
Hi Aoife!
I love pink. I always did. I wasn't about to admit that in the neighborhood I was raised in. I added a pink button down shirt to my drab wardrobe last year for the first time. Everyone seems to like it. On Wednesdays I try to remember to wear pink pantie. Yes it's a mean girls reference, but I find it fun to do.
Hugs

Hi, Aoife
I have very recently added a pink turtleneck and two pink floral print tops to my girl wardrobe - and a pink dress shirt on the guy side. I wore the latter to church last week, matching my wife's all-pink outfit. This is my first pink since 1950-something, when the charcoal/pink combination was a guy fad.
Am a huge fan of pink , both in male and female clothing , Tiff ☺☺
I went a long time without liking pink. My wife doesn’t like it. When I fully accepted myself for who I am, I started to like it. I could never pull it off as a male, but as femme, I love it now. I’ve had a matching bra, panty, and leggings and just received my platform heeled boots that have pink strings and outlining and am in love.
Hugs, Ruby
Hello Aoife, As you can see from my profile picture, I do like pink. That is one of my favorite dresses to wear, but I have other colour dresses as well. As for underwear, I prefer white, but pink is second, & black to follow. For dresses, I choose the style first, then the colour, so I have many different ones. I have some pink tops, skirts as well. So pink is one favorite colour, but not necessary the top one.
love, Helenmarie
I’m not big on the color pink, not because of its connotations but because I don’t like it. LOL...
Anyways, I have two colors that help me express my femininity and that is red and purple, black is a nice accent. Come on, how sexy is a set of red nails? Or maybe I’m just a child of the ‘80’s. LOL
I’m not a big fan of pink, mostly because of my skin tone, I think it makes me look washed out. That being said I do have pink panties in my drawer but they are nothing special
I've been wanting to add the baby pink color to my intimates for a long time. Finally last fall, I found a panty at Lane Bryant, then 2 more at VS, and another at Meijer. I also found a vintage teddy at a second hand shop, but the dryer damaged it when I washed it the first time. I'm going to take it to a theater wardrobe/costume shop and see if they can re-cut a new one.
I love wearing pink panties with a matching pink garter belt and sheer white stockings. It makes me feel so feminine and girlie.
Not too much of a fan of pink. I prefer deep, rich colours - blues, purples, greens, reds. But my dressing has affected my en drab wardrobe. Replacing my cheap Target cotton shirts for fitted, better quality ones, mostly silk. I have bought several pink silk shirts that look fab with black pants. I used to have nothing but jeans. Again, replacing those for tailored slacks and pants.
Love and Peace,
Amber
P.S. I do wear my pink shirts with blue jeans. The TG flag colours.
