Anyone know where in the UK I can buy feminine rings but in big man finger sizes? Men's rings are chunky and large but women's rings are lovely and dainty but I couldn't get them over my first knuckle for the most part.
Hi Rebecca,
Hopefully this helps, I live in Canada but I'm guessing you have Walmart in the UK. If you do that's where I'd go to look for ladies rings. The store where I live had a whole bunch of ladies rings in various sizes and they aren't expensive. Hopefully you find what you're looking for.

Hi Rebecca,
You might want to look for a ring that expands to get past your knuckle, then contracts to fit on your finger.

Silver Rain Silver in Glasgow. You can find them on Etsy. I buy all my jewelry there.
Hi Rebecca,
Over here I shop mostly at a dept store called JC Penney for costume jewelry. I can usually get sparkly pieces for $12-$15. All of the boxes are sized (US sizes), and with a little dexterity I can almost try them on - but enough to get a good idea if they're right.
There must be some similar dept store over there that carries something similar. Also a search on Amazon for 'elastic rings' returns a few delicate looking items that should fit the bill...or finger.
Happy hunting!
Thanks for all the replies. I have checked the knuckle on my largest finger and the diameter comes to about 25mm, which is an inch across -- yes, I know, fingers that would be better suited to a gorilla! 🙂 Not all my fingers are that big but I think at least four of my fingers will have to go bare. In fairness, I do have some arthritis-swelling so I can't expect the world to beat a path to my door with suitably sized rings. I'll go to some Goth shops, they always have rings for men that might do the trick, hardly going to be dainty though but heigh ho.
First you need your ring size. Go to any jewelry store and ask to be measured. Say your wife requested your size for a gift. Note there are usually two type of ring sizes. Wide and narrow. Have them use the narrow one for female rings. Use this size to go online to Amazon. I wear a size 11 ring. Most stores do not carry that size in women's styles in stock. However I have found tons online on Amazon.
Here's a thought. If you get the largest ring you can find and it is of a metallic composition then cutting the ring at the base of the loop and filing off will allow you to open it up. It would also be a help if you are prone to swelling fingers as it allows you to get them off easier. Try it on a cheap ring from a charity shop. You can find expanding rings on Websites like E bay and Amazon.
The largest rings I know of. XL are those at TU at Sainsburys, Marks, Tesco and Asda.
I got mine from eBay. Its expandable by means of the ring shank being split on the underside. To get on my finger I have to fully open it beyond where "should" go to. Then slip it on and squeeze the shank back together again. It works for me and it was really cheap
We went out the other day and stopped at a little stall inside a shopping arcade which had rings of all sizes. The lady behind the counter was most helpful and once we'd made it clear that I was after feminine rings in a larger size anf not men's, she got out a load of trays and showed me various silver (I prefer silver) rings and I bought three in the end.
I think having my wife with me gives shop assistants reassurance that I'm not some sort of pervert because when we went into a 'plus size' dress shop for a fur coat, the manageress there was equally helpful.
