I asked a friend of mine about foundation and she said use primer.
I should have asked more questions though.
should I use primer and then foundation or is primer good in place of foundation?

Hi Patty
A primer can help moisturise and hydrate the skin, reduce imperfections like big pores, and even out the skin tone. This ‘primes’ the skin for better application and coverage of foundation.
There are all in one products, which include primer, concealer and light foundation in one product such as BB creams.
Thats my understanding anyway. Such an art form, so much fun.

I bought some primer two weeks ago and the first time I used it I did my conciler first. The next time I put the primer on first and it made a huge difference. I highly recommend using primer now before putting on foundation. Last weekend was the best makeup look I've ever had.
after reading the other comments ,I have just ordered myself some face primer , I will see when it gets here what difference it will make with my foundation over it , from what I have read it should make quite a difference

Great question, it has only been recently that I started using primer.
Like the previous answers, it has made a positive difference to my makeup routine.
I always use before foundation and wait for it to sink in before the application of foundation and concealer. Also, I have discovered Max Factor Pan Stik, great as a base after primer but before foundation.
