Ok lady’s, do you shop in person or online for your shoes or boots while in drab. Do you try them on in the store ?  At first I would pick a pair out , pay for them , then try them on at home. Then I moved to very quickly trying it on while the store was not busy. Now I’m at the point where I just sit down and try them on and when I’m feeling brave I’ll get up and check the in the big mirror.
Thanks

Ashley❤️

Hi Ashley,

I started out with buying shoes at thrift stores and after MANY disappointing failures on fit I have stopped that. Now knowing my size I have purchased both online and in store. I have also gotten to where I just sit down and try them on when at the store. However I usually only buy what is on clearance whether in stores or online... Stephanie

Hey Ashley,

I've only bought online from Amazon or eBay (only have 2 pairs) so far.  Yes, the shops are shut and I'm not generally going out anyway, but buying in person would be a big step for me.  One I am definitely looking to achieve this year for sure though.  Shoes and other femme items clothing etc.

I just hope and pray that there aren't any issues as I'd have to find a way to get them back to the supplier, but had success so far and nobody asks any questions if an Amazon box or plain mailing bag turns up so works for me right now.

Love Rachel

That’s the way to do it Ashley. Would Prince Charming have ever found Cinderella if she was too shy to try them on?

Best,
Clara

I too order my shoes on line from Amazon and other vendors who include an easy method to return shoes for any reason. When the new shoes arrive I try them for fit as the vendor instructs, before I remove sales tags.

I have shopped en femme for shoes at a neighborhood department store. I found that it did not stock dressy female shoes or clothes. Upscale malls have fashion stores but I doubt that alone I can pass as a woman there well enough to transact a sale.

I do the same. Easy returns make shopping much easier!

Having unusually wide feet means I can’t shop by size alone. My chubby paws won’t fit in a pointy pump or boot no matter how long it is! It seems not many manufacturers are willing to make an 11W.

Well personally I know the size and know what I fit in I shop at different places in male clothes and I select my size then I pay for them when at home I try them wearing g pantyhose and see how they feel then I decide to keep  them or return them

Try 13W!

Although I can do a 12W.

I have a saying - the world stops at 12. Why is that you say? Size 12 is where Christian Louboutin stops. Life isn't fair!

Same! ...Try them in store, check them out in the mirror. (Dressed) I like to get the 'feel' for them, it's best to find out immediately if they are going to pinch, or hurt my heel or, if my foot slips in them.. You just don't have that option with online shopping. Then, you have the burden and hassle of having to physically return them and await refunds and all that.

Thank you. x

Oh I guess I should have mentioned that I wear pantyhose under my pants when shoe shopping as that’s the way I’d be wearing them. I like the sales associates noticed my painted toenails under my hose.   Well I’m saying that I always wear pantyhose!!! Lol

Ashley.

Ashley,

Both for me, but I’ve never had the guts to actually try on my in-store buys!  But I do get a bit of a rush when the cashier opens the box to make sure you’re not hiding something in there with the shoes and they recognize that these red patent pumps in an 11 are really for you and not a gift for your wife!

And just like Stephanie I’m always exclusively scouting the clearance racks for bargains.  My favorite heels have all interestingly been Poshmark buys!  I think because most GGs with the same shoe size only buy the kind of tall flashy heels (that I like) for weddings or special events that they are attending and then they never wear them a second time?  Whatever the reason, I’ve made some great finds there!
