Shorts or skort, which do you prefer

I don't have any skorts. I prefer wearing skirts, and I wouldn't be able to wear garters and stockings with skorts. I have a few pairs of shorts for summer, including a couple of pair short enough that I can't wear them without a good tuck. I didn't think I'd like the shorts as much as I do, but they're very comfortable and look great with my strappy white sandals. I'm really enjoying trying some new summer looks. Maybe a skort is in my future, but it feels like false modesty since I never feel bashful in a skirt. They could be the right thing for bike rides, though, we'll see...

My women's shorts pass as men's and I wear them for the gym.

When out en femme, it will definitely be skorts, usually above the knee.

I have both, but my preference is the skort. It feels more like I'm wearing a skirt.

I do not have any shorts. I usually prefer skirts but recently bought 3 skorts that are very nice looking and are a few inches above the knee.

Well I know we are supposed to dress age appropriate but I prefer and wear mostly shorter skirts, above the knee and denim minis the most. . I do have a few below the knee skirts as well. I do have a couple pairs of shorts but no skorts.

There are 2 kinds of skorts. One has a full skirt and the other just has a skirt panel in the front. That’s a bit silly to me as the definition is a skirt over shorts. Skirts are 360 degrees around, not 180 degrees.

Anyway, basically the idea is to prevent inadvertently showing ones underwear.

Skorts get my vote. I have a couple under armor running skorts that I enjoy wearing with wedges while out shopping very comfortable and seem to blend well with the other ladies out shopping.

I have to agree with the Skorts vote! I like the look and styles to choose from. I like a knee length. Just looks best on this old girl!!!!!!

Skorts or skirts. I do like skirts much more as a day to day item to wear. As where with skorts I would rather wear them as active daywear. I only have one pair of skorts and don’t were it often. I guess I only see them as being a young persons item.

I assume we are talking en femme dressing here, as I wear men's shorts year around here. As far as femme goes, I prefer skirts though some of my skirts have built in shorts, so I guess that makes them skorts of sorts.

I have about a dozen skorts, Love them! Then I woudl chose a skirt, never shorts.  I wear those in guy mode.

I tried to wear the skort for the first time and immediately fell in love with it.

Now the skort is a garment that shouldn't be absent in my wardrobe.

I think that I have only one black skort that I rarely wear.  I do wear shorts almost every day when it's hot and they are usually jean shorts made from my old jeans that got too ripped.   Marg

I like both and prefer neither one over the other. I guess it depends on what I'm doing. Most of the time when I'm alone for an extended period of time I wear a skirt or a dress. I wear ladies shorts all the time. I only have one pair of men's shorts left.
