As I let Megan explore new and varied fun girl things (‘at long last you SOB’ she says) one avenue she is going down is the wonderful world of scent. Since letting her take charge of it, I have discovered I have a functional olfactory system that is actually capable of discerning subtle scents and that various scents can really have an effect on mood, etc. So many wonderful experiences to be had once I stopped limiting myself to ‘manly’ things🥰🥰🥰🥰 So, one of our sisters suggested a way to experience a more feminine life was to switch to women’s soaps, body wash and deodorants. What a wonderful experience from such a small change. This makes me want to try a subtle women’s fragrance / cologne. Not Chanel No 5 but something less ‘manly’ than the Acqua di Gio that has been my ‘man’ mode scent for years. Nothing to turn heads but just enough to make me feel ‘different’. Ideas? Thanks

@sailor2000

My everyday perfume is CK1 by Calvin Klein.

It's marketed as unisex, so using it won't raise any eyebrows. However it is VERY definitely on the feminine side of things.

My sister and I enjoyed a happy afternoon selecting it for me last Boxing Day 🙂

I spent several months wearing it at work (before taking early retirement in July) with zero comments from fellow staff.

If you're going to wear something like this then women's soaps / deodorants are recommended -  otherwise the scents of the male products will just cut straight through the scent of the perfume and ruin the whole effect.

When I'm out and about as Ellie I switch to Mitsouko by Guerlain. It's one of my favourite smells in the world.

@sailor2000 I use feminine shower gel and deodorant on a daily basis. I also use an unscented facial scrub which is great for exfoliation and post-shave.

I wear perfume on days in full Anna mode (Peppered Earth - quite a subtle scent)

You may want to look into unisex fragrances.   I know CK One is unisex and somewhat reasonably priced.   I'm sure that there are others too.

I'm curious as to what others have as suggestions for women's soap/body wash.  Not to sound snarky, but thanks to high cost of pretty much everything I've had to go budget conscious on soap, so whatever is relatively cheap at walmart goes into the shopping cart.

As for perfume, my whole collection (about 25+) of perfumes are all targeted towards girls.  No "manly" scents in my collection.

My faves are Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears, Sweet like Candy by Ariana Grande, and Sweet Tooth by Sabrina Carpenter.

Like so many things femme, women just seemed to have figured it out so much better then men. Men's scents are pretty boring at best, horrid at worst...think Axe Body Spray.  So may women's scent work perfectly well for men, but we insist that they can only be worn by women. The same is true for lipstick. Once I discovered how wonderful they are to wear I can't get enough. Unfortunatel, I still am mostly rrestricted by society to wear neutral colors, but quality liptick is vastly superior to chapstick and lipbalms.

...and don't get me started on the wonders of yoga pants🥰

...as for favorite scents, pure sandalwood is my favorite. I used to be able to find it as an essenrial oil that I bought for my wife and it smelled wonderful on her. I recently found a sandalwood shave cream that both my wife and I use and it smells great.

I use female deodorants and soaps. Some retailers have Eu de toilette are more subtle and usually cheaper. A lot of supermarket retailers have these. The have less oils than Perfumes so won't last as long but have a variety of choice.

To me all the above comments make scents.......
