Hi Gurls,
Tummy shaper bands, support briefs or support tights?
I am seriously thinking of buying something that will make my tummy and waist look slimmer, I am not a giant and can usually squeeze into size 14 with a bit of breathing in, but size 16 and 18 are better.
I recently bought a lovely real soft leather black skirt size 14 in a charity / thrift store, I couldn't try it on in the shop and when I got it home it almost zips up around my waist. I really do adore it, it feels so soft. It has the "LLD Original" label and was a bargain at only £5 GBP.
I am hoping to buy either a tummy shaper band, support briefs or support tights but once again I am not sure which is more suitable and which size to buy.
There are shops in the U.K. with the name YOURS that sell various large size female clothes and footwear and also tummy control items, I am thinking of plucking up courage and going up to the counter and asking "what size would you suggest for me?"
Are there any gurls on here who wear any of these shaper garments to hold their tummies in so that smaller size skirts etc' can be worn comfortably.
Lots of Hugs XxX,
Alison
Hi Alison and all others who have trouble getting 'into shape'.
I bought a length of 4" wide elastic, I bought mine from a dress makers but it is for sale on e bay up to 6" wide.
Cut the elastic into lengths that give the desired effect and use fabric glue to form a figure hugging ring. Make them all the same length as over laying two or more makes them tighter. I use two then one in between for a slimmer waist. This also pushes a bit of flab out at the bottom to give a shelf of hips to make it easier to position wider hips. 5x4" elastic beltswill work for many shapes.
Please try this, it won't cost a lot, are easy to put on and very comfortable.
Please let me know if you do.......Sally x
HI ALISON I have been wearing a corset for about 20 yrs it does take time to learn how to but I find it well worth the effort it flattens out my tummy and gives a nice feminine figure .I buy mine from carmellas .I find them to be very good and price is right .40 or 50 dollars for a under bust corset with garder pts.i also wear a padded panty over my corset this gives a very nice feminine figure. (high waist padded panty from brest form store about 34 dollars).carmellas has a size chart that is easy to follow .hope this helps hugs jackie
I wear a waist trainer about 8 hours a day. I just tell people it's for back support and it's just plain black. It takes a while, but it does make your waist narrower and gives me a hip to waist ratio that is more feminine. I also do a lot of planks and leg raises to improve my posture and prevent my core from going into atrophy and maintaining my figure when it's off.
I have a few of these, I am not heavy by any means, but as a guy, my waist too large. I have a boned waist cincher, and a couple of latex ones, which aren't effective, but are easier to wear.
I bought a couple from "Glamour Boutique", worrying about getting the correct size, so I called them, and honestly said what I was after, and gave them my measurements.
What I often do, is wear the the tight one, which at first was a bear to get done up, then the latex one to smooth it out. A bit warm in hot weather, but with a padded hip/bum panty gives me a reasonable femme shape.

Hi Alison, as mentioned before, corsets are good for an all-round flattening experience!! i personally wear tummy control briefs sometimes as not only do they flatten your tummy but they hold certain things in places like the nether regions and make the 'bulge' less prominent. The only disadvantages i say are
1. on hot days they make you sweaty down there
2. they can be tight and can make you sore over extended periods of time
i think we all have our personal preferences as to whats best on this subject, but the above is mine 🙂

I too also use control briefs. I have some that are light control to extra firm control.
I found a size large slinky material wrap dress at my support group's clothes swap event last year. I usually wear an XL, I tried it and it fit but it was a little too snug around the waist. I eventually found a Maidenform flex shaperform size XL (it looks like a short half slip). The spandex material reduced my waist enough and the wrap dress had a more relaxed fit.
Get yourself some Spanx hun. You wont regret it.
I wear support briefs with certain pants. I got a corset too and need to start wearing it more often I also need to lose a few pounds too which as the weather gets better is usually easier
So, I'll add to my previous comments. I just got the one I ordered a couple of weeks ago, from an advertiser here. It is one that has shoulder straps, three stage hooks in the front, with a zipper to hold all in. This does solve the muffin top problem I've had with the others I have.
The outer part is quite like rubber, with a cloth lining. The only thing I don't like, is that the zipper shows when I'm wearing a snug top. Like the other one, it is tough to get done up at first, but is more comfortable to wear than the boned one, but pulls me in about the same amount. I only had it on for about a half hour, but I felt like I could of worn it much longer. It's not yet very warm here, but I bet you anything it will be pretty hot to wear when the weather gets warm!
