Now this seems like something I would assume s a given for most girls, but last week when my father in-law was visiting he mentioned that he shaves his armpits which really shocked me. It came out a conversation about my wife's feelings about doing that after seeing a video with some Italian women who did not. Her feelings are that she does it out of comfort rather than expectations and her father admitted he does it for the same reasons.
Personally, it's neither something I have any intention of doing as a man or a woman and not something I expect women to do either. Prior to meeting my wife I assumed I would end up with a woman who did not do that out of my preference for the European and time spent for lack of a better terms as West Coast Bohemian. Curious what everyone thinks about this... I feel like a man with shaven armpits is a dead giveaway that they crossdress, so to hear my wife's father say it was... odd especially as a CD who would not do it (I would probably shave just about everywhere else first and I don't really have that desire unless I were to start presenting femme pretty much all the time.
I shave mine for comfort and for dressing in sleeveless tops, I will also do my arms if wearing short or no sleeve dresses and tops.
I didn't used to shave my armpits - however I developed a skin inflammation . To treat it I had to shave my armpits - after that I carried on.
I feel more feminine doing its - plus it just looks better with short or sleeveless tops.
I shave my armpits for comfort and femininity. I'm not worried about any male noticing when in a locker room, swimming or DRAB. I prefer to look like a lady when En Femme!
For me it's like all body hair, more feminine not to have any so I do shave my armpits.
I've been shaving mine since my 20s simply because it is easier to keep them clean and apply deodorant. That started about the time when I was denying my femininity, so it has always been primarily a matter of hygiene.
I've been shaving my underarms for a few years now. My wife does not like the smell of underarm deodorant and asked me to stop using deodorant. I tried unscented deodorant but I didn't like it (plus it is hard to find some times). By not shaving, I reduce the underarm smell. Wife is happy and if any guy asks, I just tell them the truth. Only one guy ever asked me and he said he does it for the same reason.

Hi Aoife.
Much as my wife dislikes the simple thought of my dressing, we both discovered that men’s deodorants didn’t work well for me so since before getting married I have been usin only women’s deodorant.
And it has been maybe over 10 years that she suggested that I shaved my underarms. True, I don’t go shirtless around people, but I really couldn’t care less if they found it odd. I had laser facial hair removal at about that time too. And I have never had anybody asking me about my facial hair. (And that is a bit more noticeable, just a tad 😀)

Shave it all!!
As many have already said I shave my arm pit for the feminine look when I wear sleeveless tops and the like but as I did it I found my body odor did drop a lot. My wife did not like it being shaved was worried I would be found out. So I trimmed it shorter and shorter tell she does not even notice I fully shave my pits took about 1 year and I was shaving my pits about once a month sometimes sooner but I am lucky I do not have fast growing hair. I love the feel of it the look of it and I really notice it now if it starts to grow out to long with the odor.
Shave it and enjoy it honey!
Just saying, I shave mine for the comfort during physical activities, like karate.
I found shaving my arm pits has many benefits besides being more passable when wearing sleeveless dresses or tops. Less body odor. Also the hair does not grow back as fast. I take a yoga class twice a week and we do a lot of exercises that expose my underarms. Not once has anyone ever said anything. At this point of my life I really don't care if they do.
For reasons unknown to me, I have nothing to shave there; or my chest or legs. Never used to think about it, but find it convenient since I started CD.
